Good product
Not to easy to snap into place, takes a little effort but it does will go into place, just be persistant. Once in place it works great. The Baracuda does a great job of cleaning the pool.

Helped pick the speed back up on the MX-8
I was losing speed form the cleaner and vacuum with the old one. Put the new top on and it took care of the space so it has more draw. If you watch videos to remove and replace this use item use the one that takes the motor cover off.

Needs further attachment
It is the original equipment part for the Zodiac mx 8 However it is hinged to the lower engine housing . There is no way to replace the item without breaking the hinges. If you buy this and I always recommend original equipment also include the lower engine housing as they can snap together easily . Some places sell the two parts already together.
