Perfectly Waterproof!
True as advertised! I wore these under my cycling shoes in a downpour. The shoes got soaked, my feet came out perfectly dry. I will now just wear a cheap pair of vinyl overshoes to keep my shoes from decaying from all the soaking and drying out. SealSkinz will be my go-to for rainy weather.

Quality poor.
1. I bought three pair of Sealskinz waterproof cold weather socks, 2 pair of all weather waterproof socks and 2 pair of cold weather gloves (and liners, which they do not make anymore) in 2010.I STILL have 1 pair of cold weather waterprrof socks and 1 pair of cold weather gloves and 2 pair of liners that, after years of wear, day after day are like brand new. I had never considered any other brand over the years.I love the 2 pair of all weather ankle socks and the 1 pair of newer cold weather socks. EXCEPT, AFTER ONLY 5 WEARINGS, WASHED BY HAND ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS AND DRIED FLAT, the hydrostop membrane pulled away from the sock material, making a hole in the first pair of all weather ankle socks. In truth, I was crushed. Here, the brand I depended on for 13 years to to keep me warm and dry and work and hike outside in cold wet Seattle weather, was falling apart after little wear.I will return 1 pair, keep the other and hope this was a quality control anomaly, not a downgrading of the Sealskinz brand. I will write a later update.2. An important note: In buying my Merrell Coldmax ankle boots and Zamberlain boots, I found the socks to be so thick as to require me to go from a 9 size shoe to a 9 1/2. I found the same applied to the pair of DexShell waterproof socks (which run small) I purchased to try after the failure of my Sealskinz. Further if you wear toe warmers in your shoes, I have found the same: I needed to go up a 1/2 size in shoes/boots, especially with thick Merino wool socks as well.3. I will write an addendum after further wear of my Sealzkinz socks. I wear my Sealskinz goatskin cold weather gloves daily and love them, although for extreme cold wet weather. I would highly recommend the battery heated Savoir gloves (they run large to me), also on Amazon.

not skin tight
I bought these because of the name--I thought they'd fit like sealskin and be tight like socks. I have average sized feet and calves and these were blousy and bulky. Seemed like great quality material and if they fit tighter, I would have kept them, but I had to send them back because they bunched in my sneakers. I bought a competitor brand for half the price and they fit much better.

After 5 min cycling on a wet street my feet became wet too.
We stooped before the rain started and we waited under a Roof till the rain stopped. In the meanwhile I pur on my new Sealskinz. After 5 min cycling on a wet street my feet became already wet too. The product is not fullfilling it’s characteristics.

Nice and comfortable in poor weather
This is my first pair of waterproof socks I bought them for mountain biking in the winter. The problem was that we were often biking in freezing conditions on trails. This means that all the puddles have a layer of ice on them. As you go down into the puddle and break the ice a jet of ice cold water comes up and sprays your shoes. Your feet can get very cold even with thick woolen socks on. I'm not saying that my feet are very warm in these socks in these conditions, but they are a hell of a lot warmer than using my woolen socks. These socks are quite reasonably priced and do most of the job.
