Worked perfectly for a Christmas decoration the I made. The plug is stout and the switch works well. No problems, great cord length. Very good buy for a light socket, switch and long cord.

Bought 2 to restore 2 trouble clamp-lamps w/ aluminum reflectors since their lamp holder slide switches failed. I couldn't find any lamp holders with threaded end, as original, but these flush ends worked. One reflector had thin metal at the hole so was easy to force on. The lamp and clamp secure the reflector between them. The other reflector had a thick aluminum threaded ring. The lamp holder fit the OD of the threads, but not the ID and couldn't be threaded on by brute force since the plastic is stiff. Using an industrial heat gun, I heated the end of the plastic lamp holder and aluminum until slightly soft, which was at the limit of the heat gun (guess >300 F) and was then able to screw the reflector on. That verified that the plastic is quite heat resistant. The cable and switch seem robust, unlike some electrical products today.
