Another great Aiyima Amplifier
A nice simple to use but very clean sounding and powerful Class D Amplifier. This is a perfect Amplifier for a home office or small to medium sized room.I bought this Amplifier for my work from home office as I wanted to listen to music on my new Speakers while working and I felt I might need Tone controls. I decided this was the best model as its very similar to the Aiyima A07 except with Tone controls and I think Its a great Amp for the price.Note: There seems to be 2 models of A04 - this one with the Tone controls is the latest one. What’s great about the A04:1. Powerful - barely using 1/4 of the power, the volume control was only the 9 o’clock yet it’s filling my converted garage with excellent deep sound getting to over 90dbSPL.2. Tone controls - great implementation of tone controls - lots of range control - see measurements below3. 2 Input options - the 3.5mm Aux can be used as an alternative as well as the RCA4. 3.5mm Aux can chain the output to another amplifier or subwoofer5. Very clean sounding - no hiss but nice deep bass and excellent treble (even with the tone controls at the ‘0’ position)6. Uses hardly any electricity - so can be left plugged in without worrying about your electricity billWhat might be better:1. Tone Control ‘defeat’ - some more expensive Amplifiers have separate switches to disable to the tone controls2. Pre-amp output - some more expensive amplifiers can control the volume on the aux when used as an output - this amplifier is designed to chain the audio to other amplifiers and use their volume controls rather than control the volume in one placeI am very fussy as far as sound is concerned so I was immediately measuring this amplifier in my room to make sure it performs well. I shared some graphs in this review as well as some photos. I was very impressed both with the volume it achieved using the 32V power supply (though nothing like the advertised power of 175 Watts but still way more than I could ever possibly need) and the flexibility of the tone controls. I have no complaints at all about the sound. The measurements show the range of the Bass and Treble controls at different levels from the max and min of each of the bass and treble dials, as you can see in the measurements graph the tone controls provide excellent tweaking to the sound.

Great amp but stated power output figures are optimistic
To free up space I've downsized from an oversized amplifier to this little gem. I've been using it daily for in excess of 8 hours per day, so plenty of time running it in and getting to know it. It quotes 175w*2 output but this is not possible with the supplied power adaptor. It comes with a 32v 5a supply which would give a maximum combined output of 160w depending on the impedance of your speakers (i.e. 80w/channel max). I factored this in when purchasing and am happy as I can still reach volume levels which are too loud to comfortably listen to. I have used on some huge vintage Pioneer HPM-100s and some more recent smaller Wharfedale Diamond 9's. They both give very different sounds but this amp handled both with ease. I was concerned the 12“ woofer on the Pioneers may prove too much but this tiny amp shifted the air with no problem. I generally have the volume set to the 9 o'clock position for general listening with plenty of power left in reserve. The biggest disadvantage of this amplifier is it only has one set of inputs. To get around this I purchased a matching Aiyima pre-amp/DAC. This gives me three inputs plus tone controls. It's additional cost but I now have a versatile amplifier that takes up very little space and is still great value. The controls are as good as any mainstream brand. The volume control is smooth and turns freely, the toggle power switch has just the right amount of resistance when flicking on or off.

Incredible value for money
I'm using this on my desktop setup with an iFi dac/pre and some vintage ls3/5a 15ohm low sensitivity speakers. I can't say how happy I am. This thing went way past my expectations. It doesn't sound harsh at all and manages to make my speakers sing. The description says it comes with no power supply and someone in the comments complains about this. I don't know if the vendor took note of this or if I was just lucky but mine came with a 32V 5A power supply which is just perfect. I recommend the vendor to update the description if that's now standard to avoid some potential buyers to be put off by comments saying it doesn't come with one. I'm impressed by this little thing!

Great little amp!
Bought this to power a pair of Denon SC-N10's and a Microlab mini subwoofer from a previous sound system. Works a treat. Great stuff!

Excellent value
Surprisingly good for this price. Excellent dynamics (better than my Regi Io) and a sound that is not lean or too dry. I'm giving it to my son for his inexpensive vinyl system.

Very good sound quality
Fantastic sound quality and powerful. If you haven't heard what a modern class D amplifier sounds like yet, the AIYIMA A04 would be my recommendation. One small caveat: do NOT use class D amps to drive the high level inputs to a sub woofer.

Excellent quality
Excellent product...bought for one of our aux speakers in a pro studio. Way better quality and noise / frequency response than I'd have expected at the price.
