Technic Concrete Mixer Truck 42112 Building Kit, Kids Will Love Bringing The Construction Site to Life with This Cool Concrete Truck Toy Model Set (1,163 Pieces)

LEGO products are amazing. My son who is 13 put this together over several days with approximately 6-8 hours of total build time. The instructions are very good, the pieces are well packaged for each stage of the assembly, the pieces fit together well. It is expensive, but you must consider the quality, the engineering time, the part tolerances, the testing, etc... that goes into one of these. We did have one part that packaged incorrectly, but LEGO sent me a new piece in about 5 days. LEGO does a great job, it has a working differential for the wheels, many gears that connect up to the "engine", working crank shaft, etc..

Got this for our 5 year old for Christmas. He loves anything with gears. Putting this together with the different moving gears and pistons was fun to watch him and my husband do. It took several day’s a couple hours at night when we had time to sit down with him. It’s much sturdier than regular legos. He has electro and a LEGO cake guy sit in there and the LEGO hulk hangs on the back. The cement thing turns and really lays cement out. He loves it, I love it. Great main Christmas present. When he’s done playing with it, he knows to gently put it on his shelf. We keep the instructions in case anything falls apart, no big deal

Helping and watching my grandkids build these models was a pleasure. Best instructions I’ve ever seen or had to use to build something. They get hours upon hours of enjoyment and fun playing with these vehicles. Lego Technic is tops in my book. Excellent quality and very seldom is there a piece. missing. Can’t thank you enough Lego Technic I personally would like to see more remote control construction vehicles and such at a more reasonable price. And the last thing is I wish they would have a listing of all construction vehicles and models available so we can choose and pick which ones would like to buy for our grand children. Our grandson LOVES Technic Legos! The Cement Truck was a real hit. He LOVED putting it together, and he loves playing with it. The design of the cement drug is ingenious (as are all Lego items) with the way it pushes the "cement" to the top of the drum and releases it from the end. He will probably take it apart and put it together many more times.

I bought this build for my son's birthday. He loved it. He liked all the details and his the drum actually moves. It took him a week to assemble it. He just turn 7. I did help him a bit but he enjoyed the challenge.

UPDATE: Apparently the online instructions for this differ very slightly with the included instructions (for the engine detail). This was the source of my alleged missing pieces. Still, poor QA. As shipped, it was correct. Updating to 4 stars. Maybe I've been lucky before, but this is the first time I've had missing pieces. Set was missing 9 pieces (of 3 different types), and bag numbering wasn't accurate (i.e. pieces for the first part in bags labeled "2", etc). For the Lego premium price, I expect all the pieces. Box also came a bit damaged, even though it was inside an Amazon (brown) box. No padding, just a box-loosely-in-another-box. If I were a very particular collector I would have sent it back. (Loses one star for poor Lego QA, another star for box damage) That said, this build was pretty quick/easy. 2-shell barrel is a bit of a cop-out, but it's functional and unique, and would have been quite difficult to make something on this scale with standard lego pieces. Turning radius should be better, and would have been cool to have extra removable troughs, but it's good to see something other than a crane or a supercar.

My 8 year old grandson was thrilled to get this Lego set for Christmas! He had no trouble building it and loved that the cement mixer part does turn! Legos are his life! Thanks, Amazon for making it easy to order and send!

The Lego product is the best ........ Also the MOST expensive ........... I would enjoy other kits Lego has to offer.... however they are too expensive for me.............
