I purchased this desk to replace the card table I was using. It’s a bit bigger than I expected but fits nicely into the space I reserved for it. I was able to put this together myself within 45 minutes to an hour (I’m a senior citizen). The directions for assembly were very clear and I had no trouble following them. The completed desk is very sturdy and quite attractive.

I needed a desk for home because I finally got a new job that’s hybrid. This is not your grandfather’s solid mahogany desk, but you already knew that. But let’s not talk about what this desk isn’t. Let’s talk about what it is. 1. Affordable 2. Very easy to put together. To be fair I actually love assembling furniture but this was very easy and straightforward by most people’s standards. I was able to do it without any trouble even after consuming more champagne than I care to admit while celebrating my new hybrid job. Pieces and hardware were labeled, directions easy to understand, and the pieces were packed in the box so you basically take them out in the order that you assemble them (bonus points for this!! I have a small house and a tiny office space in said house, so not having to unpack everything to get to the first piece was a treat). 3. It’s got decent style for something made of powder coated metal and faux wood. The faux wood is super plasticky, but I see that as a plus because it looks like it can stand up to a drippy coffee cup or an overwatered office plant. It seems reasonably sturdy for what it’s made of, and might even survive a move to the new house I’ll eventually be able to afford with my new job!In conclusion: five stars. Go for it.

The desk is absolutely amazing and makes everything so much easier. I wish I bought this a few years ago I don't know why I waited so long. It's beautiful and it's perfect in the room and it really is organized with all the shells.

The desk is really beautiful, everything about it looks absolutely magnificent and is worth it. The only downside is one of the spots to put the nails was just not compatible with the nail itself, thus we couldn't fit a screw in. However it still seems relatively stable and looks great. All the tools needed also come with, so that's a plus. I would recommend having two people assemble it but I don't doubt that someone can assemble it on their own.

Absolutely I’m love with this desk, very comfortable and looks nice, fits in my room perfectly and the extra shelves are a good place for my plants to look at while working!

Assembling the product only took about 15 minutes, and that was because we were taking our time. It has a lot of space for putting books and other items in the side shelfs. The wood itself is sturdy and so is the body of the table.If you are looking for a good table for video gaming that doesn’t break your budget, this product is for you.

I did not expect to have so much fun assembling it. Everything fits very nicely, it's quite easy and above all very satisfying to assemble (like playing with LEGOs).Quality is great. Super stable.The surface feels great too. For this price it's unbelievable.

Having used a very large office desk for some years, last year I changed to a much small desk but never got on with it. I like to have space. I decided to buy a larger desk again and added several to my Amazon wish list to keep reading and looking. I finally chose this desk in the grey, thinking the black versions would be a bit too dark for my room. I also liked the idea of the shelves since it is nice to have all the things you might need close to hand.It arrived very quickly and the box was extremely heavy - thank you to the Amazon driver for delivering it inside my home. I removed all the parts from the box and checked everything was present, spread the box out over my floor so that I wouldn't mark the items accidentally, and set about putting it together.The instructions were simple to follow - although I really did need an extra pair of hands for some of the frame. Only being born with two arms, I co-opted the sofa to be a substitute human and it worked. Good-size screws, nice size allen key, it all went together nicely. The most difficult part I found was putting in the shelves. Lining up holes in the metal frame and the sides of the shelves was not the easiest job to do but I got there in the end with a bit of patience.The actual desktop is the last item to screw on and I really expected this to be a problem. It turned out to be the easiest part. Once the top is laid correctly onto the frame, all the holes lined up perfectly.Full marks, then, for construction and design. I chose not to use the bottom shelf for my desktop since I am always needing to plug things in the back or unplug things, so I have kept that on a wheeled trolley to the side, which also supports one of my printers. Thankfully, I had more than enough room for this arrangement.It was so easy for me, just one person, to then move the desk to the wall I wanted it against and, whilst this a very heavy desk, moving it along, first one side then the other, it was easy. So, I finally had a return to the large desktop that I wanted, with the advantage of some convenient shelves to the side to store essential items I use daily. It is also very easy to change the side you want the shelves once it is constructed. No need to take it all apart, simply remove the X frame at the back, put it on the front and turn the desk. Clever design.However, I have to say I was totally disappointed with the colour and the finish. I had expected a grey "woodwork" but it was actually more like faded driftwood with artificial grain running through it. I also totally disliked the "scratches" going vertically at intervals. I contacted the seller and was told that was a part of the design to make it look more like "real" wood. I disagree with that but we came to an arrangement. Even so, I really did dislike the finish and wish I had bought one of the black versions instead.After living with the desk for over a week, I still found the colour and scratches and "grain" to be a distraction and I could not get on with any work. I bought a large mouse mat in an extremely bright colour and that helped but there was still far too much of the desktop to distract me. Finally, I bought an XXXL mousemat (this had to be in a dark colour because there are few options at that size). This fully covers the desktop and runs a few cms into the shelf. Job done, now I don't see the colour and patterning that I still dislike. Yes, it is fully visible on the shelves but that isn't a distraction since I only see the front of the shelves (which is attractive), the surfaces are all full with various objects.If I had bought one of the other colours, I know I would have been totally satisfied with this desk. There is nothing wrong with it, it is a great size, it has a lot of storage space on the shelves. It was only the colour I really disliked (and still do) so had to go to the expense of buying a huge mouse mat to cover the desktop as a way of "improving" it. Under normal circumstances I would have given this 5 stars but because I feel the colour bears little resemblance to the display pictures, and because I feel some designer overdid the surface "patterning" to make it appear more "real", I have dropped a star to 4.As a desk with an industrial feel to it, strong, plenty of space to work, plenty of space to store items, this is ideal. Very heavy, not the easiest to construct alone, but once constructed is easy to move around the room (you would need a wide door to move it to another room though). I will recommend it but would advise that customers check the colours first to ensure they will be satisfied with what they order.
