Not worth the money
I thought I had upgraded to a quality coffee maker when I purchased this maker in April 2021.Well here we are only 6 months later and my coffee maker will only brew 1 cup at a time then shut off.Yes: I have cleaned it, ran vinegar through it( twice now since I’ve owned it)Great grinder. Easy to clean brass filter. The pour spout on the carafe is not well designed, but I thought that was the only issue. Now at 6 months old the coffee make has decided not to work anymore.I hope the company will replace a coffee make that quit working after 6 months. They did not, instead they insist on insulting the end user. “ don’t use hot water in the tank, you must descale the unit” etc. even after multiple email communications and sending a video of the issue as they requested. Gevi does not stand behind their product.I will not recommend purchasing any of their products. I went back to some I trust and should not have strayed away from, Cuisinart has always been reliable.

We love this machine
My husband was getting fresh ground coffee at truck stops and loved the taste so much he asked me to buy a coffee maker with a grinder. I bought this one June 2021 and it still works perfectly! I have not had any problems with it, although when I was searching for one and red reviews of some machines steam causing grinder to cake up, I have always opened ours after coffee finished brewing and we have never had any problems. The coffee tastes really good. I will buy this one again if it should ever stop working.

DON'T BUY THIS! IF IT BREAKS...NO SUPPORT SERVICE! NO REPLACEMENT EVEN UNDER WARRANTY!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. NOCUSTOMER SUPPORT. NO REFUNDS EVEN UNDER WARRANTY!!I ordered this for my Dad for Christmas and it looked great when it arrived. He was super happy with grinding beans and drinking fresh coffee. Used it about 6 months and it stopped grinding correctly. (eg: set for 8 cups and only grounds for 2 cups drops into the basket, making dirty water instead of coffee) My dad contacted the company. They sent an email with instructions. He cleaned the grinders, then spent 30 dollars on Grinder Pellets to clean gunk out of the blades. Still didn't work. All of this was well within the one year warranty. Nothing worked. He contacted them again. They said he didn't do it properly and asked him to video his cleaning process. He said no, he had already done it twice according to their specs and it was not working. Another sent email, requesting a replacement, they sent him instructions for a problem that didn't exist and when he answered that email, they emailed back that the unit was out of warranty. There were still 3 weeks left. Then they cut off all communications. This has to be the worst ever purchase and Amazon says they tried to intercede but to no avail. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME! THE UNIT IS MADE OVERSEAS, HEADQUARTERED IN THE NETHERLANDS, MADE IN CHINA. PURE JUNK AND IMAGINARY SUPPORT.

Fantastic coffee, some minor drawbacks
I was looking for a coffeemaker for my office so I'm not forced to use the Keurig. I wanted a machine with a burr grinder and a timer. This Gevi is what I decided on and if you're looking for similar qualities I recommend this machine. So, first let me say that when you get your settings dialed in this makes the best cup of coffee I've ever had from a drip machine. There are lots of settings to play with so finding your ideal cup can take some time. Here is what I use:- no paper filter (this affected the flavor a lot, surprisingly. The basket's mesh is tight enough that you don't need a separate filter).- medium brew strength- grind setting on second largest bean image (there are lots of detents, so not the second notch on the wheel but the second-largest bean image)- same amount of water as the number for the amount of coffee ground- light-medium roast beansWith all that said, there are some minor issues that keep it from being a 5* product.- grinder is very loud. Definitely noticeable from 2 offices down from mine. And it grinds for longer than you might expect- the mechanism that lets the grounds fall into the brew basket is a bit inaccurate and you'll get some grounds scattered around the machine. Not a lot but it's noticeable.- The bean hopper is right above the brew basket, and you don't want steam from the hot grounds clogging up the grinder. After brewing, I push the button to open the brew basket nook and leave it ajar. Perfectly normal for machines in this range, you have to spend more to get a more separated bean hopper.- No insulated carafe. Again, with all the other features of this machine it's understandable.- Figuring out how to set the timer can be a bit tricky. Don't press the On / Off button during this process or you'll start a pot. Hold down the Program button to set the desired time to brew and press it again to turn on the timer.I would definitely buy this machine again, the drawbacks are, for me, very minor.

Great Price Works Great!!!!
Ok first I will be very honest this purchase was a HOPEFUL buy... meaning I was hoping it was going to work as great as the description. Man was I surprised! It worked better than expected. It took me about 3-4 tries to figure out the coffee strength that I liked. Now, I wake up in the morning with the whole house smelling like a coffee shop. Easy Programing and for me 1/3 cup is perfect for a med strength brew for 10 cups of coffee. I timer and settings are so easy I didn't need to read the instructions. very simple. If you currently have your round coffee filters don't toss them away. I still had over 100 filters remaining and still use them. The system comes with a steel filter but just using my paper filters until they run out. Overall I am very Happy with this coffee maker. The fact that is freshly grids the beans down and programable brew OH MAN! Compared to the $180-$300 Models this was a blessing for this machine to be under $100. If you have any questions let me know I will reply with a video. Be safe and happy brewing!
