Years ago carbon paper used to be a common item in our house. Now, had to shop around a bit to find paper for transfer of an image to wood for a plaque project. Bought this set based on reviews regarding quality and the value for number of sheets and tools. The tool which has two rounded tips (one a little sharper than the other) worked well to transfer the image of a forklift (see pic). I used a straight edge and circle guide for some lines; free handed other lines. The blue-ish image came out clear for all lines with normal writing-type pressure. As I've done this type of transfer many times, I knew to avoid pressing with palm of hand while tracing over image printout to not create any smudges. I used painters tape to secure printout and carbon paper to wood piece being able to lift from one edge checking transfer progress as needed without losing placement. After woodburning the image, prior to painting some areas, I used a palm sander lightly to remove any lines not desired in the final design.

Lucky me! I got the right tracing paper. There is plenty of it too. It is clear, clean (doesn't smear), stays put, easily washes off and comes with 5 double sided stylus pencils that equates to 10 tips!!! Who could ask for more?

It's not bad. I used the Rainmarket carbon transfer paper on two different surfaces, a rubber stamp carving block and a piece of canvas fabric for embroidery. It was a faint transfer on the rubber using the tracing stylus. I got a clearer transfer on the canvas using a pen to trace my design. The resealable acetate sleeve comes with 100 sheets (8.5x11" approximately) of blue carbon paper, so it's very inexpensive. The tools (2 mechanical pencils, 2 sets of pencil leads, and a double headed tracing stylus tool) are in a separate reusable little plastic case, so you can keep things tidy. All this being said, it's not a bad product and does an OK job, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

This is a great packet for tracing a pattern onto wood. The package of stylus are ideal to use. No pencil necessary, thus no need to sharpen.

I do a lot of custom items, so I need to transfer my computer generated images on to various materials.... carbon paper works for me every time and the additional little goodies made this package a no brainer.

Definitely not worth the money! Not good at transferring at all!
