I am so impressed by these! Bright enough to be used for when I do my astronomy observing. Yet, not too bright. The price is fantastic. Trust me, I’ve been searching for a couple of years for something like this and normally they are not this cheap in cost and also include six of them for the price!I tested each one and they all work! (See photos.)Each one can work as a “press only to work”. Some people like those that don’t stay on by themselves big rather want the option for only while pressing. These have that capability.However, each one also has a thing you can slide up to not only turn it on but for it to stay on by itself. Doesn’t need continuous pressing.I love that I have these two operational modes available!Each one comes with its own key ring! Which you can take off and just use it’s first, much smaller ring in the light to attach to your own key ring!I’m ordering more. These are now my favorite red lights!

Use these on my dog’s collar at nighttime. Clearly visible at long distances. Very bright. Lost one in the yard when dog was romping around. Carabiner failed and it came off—not the unit’s fault. Considering buying another set, just incase the manufacturer stops selling them. Amazing price to value, vs other sellers of same/similar concept (NiteIze, Inova, ASP, etc).Put another on my keychain for task lighting, which is getting more use than my iPhone’s flashlight since it’s more accessible/convenient. One could argue it’s too bright for night vision, although it’s clearly red. Personally, I don’t feel that way.

These little gems are the perfect source of illumination during night photo sessions for rummaging around the equipment bags to taking notes and they don't totally destroy my night vision. I have one in each camera bag, two in my bug out bag and one for home and one for car.The batteries can be replaced but it's cheaper just to order another set of these.

I rated the brightness 5 stars because it is not too bright, since I use them with a telescope. Just guessing on battery life since I have not worn one out yet.

They're cheaply made, but all flashlights worked. If you're looking for a cheap light to get to the bathroom at night without blowing your night vision, this will work.

I use in a hospital to check on patients and it does not wake them. Great light

If you are doing astronomy outreach programs in VERY dark locations like I am, these are the perfect little light to give people. I live in an area with Bortle 4 (rural-transition dark sky) conditions, which is really dark when there are no lights around as is the case on my property. When we have had people over for astronomy Meetup events, we give them one of these little lights, and have them put the keyring section on their coat zipper.This way they won't lose the light, and it is in a convenient location to find and use for star maps and for walking around in the dark. These are surprisingly bright in very dark conditions - plenty of light to see to walk and read star maps. And because they are read, no one loses their 'night adapted vision.'I've bought these several times now, and hope they continue to be offered because I'll keep giving them away and keep buying more. And it's nice to have one on my OWN coat - I am never without a flashlight!
