This knife is made of an excellent quality metal.Its not like some local knife that is found which invariably you will find the handle coming off or even the knife bending.A little expensive but worth it.The amazon delivery was spot on too.Make sure you keep it out of reach from kids.The knife is really sharp.Expensive so make sure you store it in a safe place.

NOTE:@ This is ORIGINAL Rena Germany knife, as I verified with the company using the article no. & barcode.@ It wasn't very sharp out of the box.@ Handle is made of good quality plastic having textured finish.After using this knife for over 2 weeks, following are the observations,1. Product looks exactly as shown in the description and is Original.2. Quality of blade is good and its upto its specified dimensions.3. It has good weight to it and handling is easy.4. Handle has textured finish, which gives decent gripping.5. Edge is not sharp enough, I had to manual sharpen it to my need.* Its 2 weeks now and sharpness is well retained.6. Packaging was awful. It was in its original plastic wrap and wrapped in the paper & tape.7. Chops the meat and veggies perfectly, having no issues yet.8. Finally its affordable.VERDICT:----------For the price, its good knife to buy. Serves the purpose very well. Apart from initial sharpness & packaging, there's no issues yet. I would certainly recommend this knife.

Its very safe to handle

1. No Germany Made badging (as shown in picture).2. It's not stainless steel, since it failed the magnet test.3. It's not a 5mm width knife, width is just 3mm.4. Polish is coming off a bit from edges.OK product, but seller is showing misleading images.

the delivery was within two days of placing the order. it is an amazing and must have tool in the kitchen. I did not know what I was missing till I started using it. it is heavy (makes chopping easier) and sharp. I can now easily work on whole lamb legs and whole chicken with ease.

UUDATE AFTER 1 YEAR: It is a very good product. I am satisfied. To use this heavy chopper heavy and thick wood brick is must as chopping board, fancy chopping board will not last longer. If you use it carefully then it is a life long product.PREVIOUS REVIEW: Received the product just now. Delivery date was 10th Oct but received today on 8th Oct. Packaging was average, packing was torn by the handle. Sharp edge should be covered more carefully to avoid accident during shipment.Made in P.R.C. or Made in China, is a country of origin label affixed to products manufactured in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), especially in Mainland China. Rena is the importer and marketer of the product in Silvassa, India.MRP. Rs. 1760 (Inc. all) printed on the blade cover. And on Amazon 1549.00They mentioned product Origin is India but its actual Origin is China.Weight may be as described on the Amazon, actually we did not crosscheck.Length is mentioned on Amazon is 15 inch (215mm+165mm) but it is actually 13 inch.Thickness mentioned on Amazon is 5mm and it is correct. You should check pictures I've given.It is heavy as I was expecting to be.And rest of all performance of the same I shall imput after using the product for few days. Thank you.
