You can tell you're over 30 when something as simple as a pencil sharpener gets you this excited. Sharpens to a point quickly. I immediately collected every pencil i could find in my house to sharpen and am very pleased with this purchase.

this is the best sharpener i've ever used, and i've use many many of them. i use it for coloured pencils and even the temperamental Prisma are sharpened easily and well with an amazing sharp point and not breakage.there are two modes, battery and manual and i usually use the manual setting. seems i have more control.UPDATE! there is a huge problem is changing out the tool carrier - can't get the thing out to change the sharpening part. and i can't find a video that shows the proper way. so i reduced my stars to 3 from 5.the price is perfect!

I'll still be looking for something better. That's because, the electricity driven side doesn't work effectively. Switching to manual yields a heavy sharpener that does work. I turn the pencil for a good point. I wanted one so badly for a course I'm taking on colored pencil techniques. The instructor sharpens hers frequently with an electric model successfully. Maybe, hers is a plug in one. Manual sharpeners for basic, no. 2 pencils are inexpensive. If Imo ly using this for that purpose, it's way more costly.

This is a great inexpensive pencil sharpener. I like that it has two modes and that it comes with two replacement blades. It does a great job in sharpening my colored pencils. Skip the more expensive sharpeners out there and get this one! It works well for a fraction of the cost.

I liked that there is a manual sharpening option. The electric sharpening ran a few times and then stopped working. I tried using two different brand AA batteries and nothing. I also made sure the switch was on the power option. It's a decent size and cleaning out the pencil shavings is simple. I'm just not going to keep it for the price as a manual only sharpener.

I like that it can be used with batteries or manual. It sharpened my fabric pencils quick and sharp. Lid is easy to remove to empty the bin. It comes with 2 extra blades so I don't have to buy a new sharpener in a long time.
