I ordered this for my electric scooter. The scooter does have shocks already but was looking for a little extra cushion on long rides. This post takes it to an another level. Pulled out the original seat post and matched up the correct size and ordered accordingly. Product came quick and installation was a breeze. I was surprised at the quality of metals use to make this. Looks to be built to last for the money I paid. I kept the factory tension setting and it was perfect. Shock only goes into use when hitting bumps and not in use on flat ground. I weight 215 and factory setting is perfect for me. It does have a tension setting on bottom of post with allen wrench adjuster if need be. This post makes a huge difference in the performances of the scooter and for the money, it's a no brainer. I would recommend.

This seat post works great and makes my bike a lot more comfortable. I bought a cheap Walmart Huffy Rock Creek 26 bike that didn’t have any rear suspension. I put this seat post on it, and now I can ride over bumps and the shock soaks them up. I like how it has an adjustment on the bottom of the post, so you can easily adjust it to be stiffer or softer. Couldn’t be happier with it for the price.

A nice sleeved seat post with a spring inside. Definitely not a hydraulic shock absorber. Theres no valves or fluid, the screw on the bottom just tightens the spring.

They're replacing the wqater mains in our neighborhood and the streets are being torn up daily removing the old pipes and replacing them with new ones. Once they complete the process they will repave all of the streets. In the meantime you feel like you're riding on the moon! My e-bike has no suspension as it's primarily a street bike.The suspension seat post works so well that I decided not to move forward with trying to replace the fork with a suspension fork.This was a much easier and more economical way to greatly improve the ride quality od my e-bike!

More suspension is better.

Yesterday this aluminum zoom seat post failed. Almost killed me. I was crossing the street on my Urban Firmstrong beach cruiser and suddenly BAM!!! —- I fell to the ground. If a car had been nearby and rolled over me, I would’ve been dead. Also, look at the picture. That sharp, jagged edge of the aluminum seat post was sticking out past the frame after it broke. As I was going down, if that jagged edge had caught my leg, and an artery, I wouldn’t be here writing this revised review. I would’ve bled out in 30 seconds. First, I had the seat post inserted safely past the insertion point. In other words, I did not have it sticking out too far. I am 210 pounds, 6’2”, and maxed out the length of this Seatpost. Therefore, I was putting more strain on this post then someone would have at a lower weight with it pushed in more. Second, the beach cruiser frame is made of steel. This Zoom seat post is aluminum. Eventually, steel wins. Third, these 1 inch seat posts (25.4 mm) were never intended for adults. They were intended for children. Back in the 1960s and 70s, kids rode bikes with 1 inch seat posts. The bike designers probably did not imagine that adults would also be riding these bikes. The standard stuck. The seat post diameter is simply not large enough. Ideally, it should be larger. Fourth, the thickness of the walls of your seat post is very important. In addition to the material. My recommendation is to get a steel seat post with thick walls from a name brand like Wald. Maybe even change the seat post every year or two if you ride a lot and are heavy. Finally, I originally posted a five star positive review for this Seatpost. However, I feel compelled to warn others of this danger. Not only for this seat post but all 1 inch seat post, especially aluminum inserted into steel. I rode this Seatpost for a couple years without any problems, then suddenly it failed. Catastrophically. I hope this helps people to consider the importance of their seat post, the dangers presented, how suddenly they can fail, and the importance of using a strong, steel, thick seat post especially for 1 inch seat skinny seat posts. I installed this and noticed it wouldn't remain at a consistent height. It turns out that you are supposed to grease a new post during installation which helps it stay in place. You may also have to make small adjustments to the bike hardware to get it to hold firm This takes much of the sting out of bumpy roads, potholes, harsh transitions between bike paths / streets. I can't speak to its longevity, but it is inexpensive enough that I wouldn't be heartbroken if I had to replace it every couple thousand miles

Much better ride. You can still feel smaller bumps and imperfections in the trail but keeps the harsh ones from going into your spine. Will add 2-3 inches to your seat height. Definitely recommend, especially for the money. Perfect fit, easy install

As a 200lb man it works great. It is you just have to screw the front screw in more then the rear to bring the nose down and tighten both screws to lock it in.

丁度一年前シティサイクルに付けて、その後愛用しておりました。半年過ぎた辺りからギシギシ言い始め、下からの突き上げもキツくなつもてきたので、バラしてグリスアップをした所快適に。 ただ数週間前からまたギシギシとあり、引っかかる感じもあったので、再度グリスアップをしましたが改善される事は無かったです。再度購入しようと思っていますが、寿命は一年と見ると安いと思うか、高いと思うかは人によるのかなぁと思います
