Glass top electric burners can stay dangerously hot for many minutes after use. The stove has one light that indicates that there is a hot burner but it does not indicate which burner. We place the sign near (but not on) the burner we used. If a family member is not aware that the stove was recently used, the sign will alert them to avoid the hot burner. The sign is enamel on aluminum and is not intended to be high temperature-resistant as one reviewer found out the hard way.

New toaster oven (our first) and we forgot it gets hot, inside and out. The nice thing about this sign is we can warn about the outside hotness. It helps keep fingers from getting toasted.

I finally found the metal signed that is just the right size and I can safely place it on my metal fireplace that gets really hot.

Edges were very sharp on the one I received. Scratched the glass on my stove cooktop before I noticed. Little bit of filing and it's no longer an issue. Buyer beware until they start rounding the sharp corners.

This is large enough to see from across the room, and more importantly, lets you know that your stove is hot. It works so well, I'm using for other things as well, like when my wife walks in the room.

I use this on my glass top range. Helps to remind others (myself) that the cook top is still hot after the burner has been turned off. Saves on melted trivets or oven mitts and little fingers (and mine) from getting burned. Worth the price.
