The solution worked, although the zipper isn't of the highest quality. Hopefully, it holds up. At least the ATX-50x headphones have improved in appearance.

I am very happy with my purchase of this protector. They fit my audio technica ath-m30x very easily.It is very useful and practical when using it, it is comfortable when using the headphones for long periods of time.I have washed the protector with a little water and detergent and let them dry in the sun. I have always washed it by hand so that it doesn't get too damaged in the washing machine, and the protector is still intact and functional.it has been very helpful

More comfortable due to being a stretchy material versus faux leather & if gets dirty, then wash with a load of similar color of clothes on gentle cycle (COLD Water), but don't place in dryer. Hang in window or sunny area instead to prevent shrinkage, dries on no time.It was a bit tricky to install the 1st time, now is OK. If by chance you have long hair as myself, you may want to place a piece of black electrical tape on the zipper to prevent hair from caught. More likely to happen outdoors in the wind, but also can happen in front of a fan, or for that matter, anytime.Anyway, I don't regret the purchase, discovered only by chance when looking for replacement ear pads. So I got both on the same day!💯

Doesn't stay zipped at the very end. Needs a little clasp or something to hold the corners together so the zip doesn't undo.

Works perfectly for what it is. Sturdy, soft, nice zipper and materials. Slips right over the old, flaking headband piece. Doesn't really wrinkle/bunch up, like some others, when zipped on and feels good when wearing. Way better than how my deteriorating headband was. And for a reasonable cost, instead of continuing to wear the gross, flaking headphones or throwing them out (which is not an option for me since they still work and I ain't throwing around cash like it were nothing. Because, not rich.)I am glad someone came up with these things because my cans still sound great and I hate this flaking issue. This seems to be a common thing with many headphone brands. Happens to the earpads as well. Luckily there are solutions like this to be able to get the intended years out of our headphones. Recommended.

I continually daily drive a pair of ATH-M50x's that were bought second hand, and the condition the headband was in clearly showed it. Parts of the headband covering were flaking off and getting stuck in my hair and generally making a mess. This headband cover quickly alleviated that issue, and added a massive amount of comfort too. Super easy installation and work great for any Audio Technica headphone, even the worn out ones feel like brand new again.
