Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts (Xbox One)

Very realistic sniping. Anyone that does long distance shooting knows you have to adjust for wind and distance. This one makes you so just that.

I love this game wish there were more missions

Graphics are great and it’s a very fun game

The game can be VERY hard even on the easiest setting. You always have enemies coming from multiple angles and directions. So you get killed a lot, until you figure out an order of operations for their removal. That wouldn't be such a problem if the game had a user activated save feature. The best way to play is SLOWLY. You often spend an hour to ALMOST conquer an area only to die and find yourself back at a much earlier point in the game that requires you to fight numerous enemies all over again. It would be better if the save points were even obvious. Until you reach one they are often a complete mystery. Want to take a break and play something else? Once you close the game, you have to sit through an entire explanation of the mission. No press B to opt out. Still, it is a fun game and the difficulty would add to the enjoyment if it were not for the lack of ability to save after a boss fight. Unfortunately a glitch stopped me from completing the last mission. After I "found the required evidence" I was killed before I could upload the data as required in missions. Normally you just had to do that part of the mission over again. But the evidence was no longer active to click on. This left no way to complete the mission or finish the game.

great layout...easy to maneuver fps

gameplay is OK but really glitchy. Lots of targets/vehicles/charachters appear and disappear. No ability to save when you want, only auto save which makes it difficult during challenging parts. And do I really have to watch the 20 minute intro EVERY time I start the game???

After finishing Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, I realized how I enjoyed it and wanted to backtrack to the first one. I’m not disappointed as it is very comparable to part 2. The shooting dynamics and overall game design platforms are very similar. The only differences are the maps obviously and some weapons / gadgets customization.If you love sniping, this is as close as you can get to the real thing and at $20, it’s a bargain. Definitely not perfect but will satisfy your R&R time.

CryEngine is an alternative graphics engine to Frostbite 3. It compete in terms of reality, quality and storage size of games. I owned and played both Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 & Contracts and I am finally telling that if we dont care about the natural bugs of the game engine, this game series is more interesting and beautiful than other first person shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield.
