Nice Piece of Furniture of a Nice Height
This is a great cat tree! It is a nice height- goes up to 72 inches... quite clean and new looking- a "carpet like" material- but seemingly of adequate thickness. The particle board that constructs it leads one to believe it is flimsy looking, but it stands quite firm and tall. Its compact a lot of tree packed into not too wide of a piece of furniture. My other 72 inch tree takes up more space. ( I wanted to "bookend" my fireplace. lol) It does shake a little, but overall it is quite firm- the last thing on my mind is that it will collapse under my 10 pound cat. There are a lot of pieces- obviously with the different levels and houses there has to be. But EVERY NEEDED screw and part was sent with an excellent diagram, by GO PET CLUB. In fact this is my 2nd tree from them and every part and screw was present in both! Thank u G.P.C.!!!. I'd like to add that the tree is packed into an extremely compact box- should readily fit into any car trunk or back seat! I thought I might have to rent a small u- haul- but it's really interesting the way the company knows how to pack so well! Must be a "package design engineer" in the picture. It actually took me 5 hours to assemble this cat tree. By the time you lay out the parts and screws... screw everything together correctly etc. I got a little stuck on one shelf- it more or less "attaches to a higher shelf- (we're talking at the upper level ) and there are two "stabilizing bolts"- but any adult should ultimately figure it out- Quite easy actually but you have to recognize how the bolts attach. Just use the diagram and the holes in the boards as a guide. However 90% of the steps to assemble are quite straightforward. Very reasonably priced- I guess it is so because the buyer must assemble- which does take a bit of time and energy- u might even work up a sweat! However, I really had " a feeling of accomplishment" upon completion.!!! Now if my cat just hops up and down on it.....!

Great value, sturdy and lovely
Large and heavy. Easy to follow building instructions. Very sturdy. It has lots of levels and lots of play or nap areas. My cats are already getting a lot of use out of it. The little ramps are kind of strangely attached but otherwise it is a solid structure.

It came with 2 broken pieces I wasn't going to use anyway
I bought this to replace an older version that was worn out. I had my original for several years and most of the twine had came loose. I like the footprint pattern because it helps to hide stains. The first one I had I paid about $50 for and lasted me more than 5 years. This one is double the price. I placed mine in a corner for added stability. I did not attach it to the wall.I always hated the ladders and didn't plan on using them on this one. They are difficult to vacuum around especially the one that goes to the floor. Good thing I wasn't going to use them because BOTH came broken in half. It did not happen during shipment. It was packaged this way. I didn't try to ship it back because I wasn't going to use them anyway. This is very sad because had I wanted to use them it would have been a real disappointment. I suggest if you don't plan on assembling it right away to open the box and look over all the pieces closely.Comparing the 2 versions I had there were likes and dislikes. The 3 triangle perches the cats can lie on were much bigger on this version. That I, and my cats liked a lot. I don't like that the posts aren't completely twined top to bottom and instead have that paw print cloth partly on them. That's a waste of space cats can use for scratching their claws. I like the boxes on these are made of wood where the last version had cloth that hung over the sides. But the top box is much smaller than it used to be. That's where my cats lie the most. I was afraid they wouldn't use it. They do squeeze into it but they hang out and it's much shorter. I wish they hadn't shrank the size of that box. The inside of the box sides do not have any fabric on them and are bare wood. Only the bottom where the cat lays and the outside have cloth. That will make it easier to vacuum but will absorb vomit and stain if that happens..Realize if you get this it will need to be vacuumed. I vacuum mine weekly and get quite a bit hair off. A vacuum with a long hose and a power attachment works well. The triangles are high up so you will need a vacuum you can lift high and something to stand on to do it. Realize the top triangle perch is about 6' tall when assembled.WARNING: The mouse on the string is WAY TOO LONG and DANGEROUS. Surprisingly I heard one of my cats screaming a couple days after assembled and he had wrapped the string around one of his toes and couldn't get free. I had to set a panicking, screaming cat free while trying not to get bit. It has now stretched out even more to over 6" long. The string is heavy duty and I'm afraid while I'm gone a cat might get strangled. Give it a hard pull and you'll see it doesn't break off easy and would hold the weight of your cat by it's neck. On the the first cat tree I bought, the cats ripped off the toy themselves a couple months later. I have cut this one off and I'm going to put a break away piece in and reattach it. Think about if you really want to take a chance with that. I saw another customer complain it had caught her cat's tail and she found it stranded and screaming. That being said, it really should only be 2" long at most and maybe a break away design for safety. If you move it any real distance you will need to carefully take it apart and reassemble. Don't move this house to house or up the stairs without taking it apart. It's made of particle board and will not survive. That's common sense. Label your small pieces in bags. Maybe save the instructions and think ahead. The directions are well written. The pieces to put it together are in well labeled packages. That makes it putting it together much easier. All the pieces are not in the same bag so you don't have to go on a hunt and seek mission figuring what fits with what to assemble. It comes with an Allen wrench (hex key) that fits the pieces so if you loose it just get a set. Also, over time it will begin to loosen from your cat climbing on it so you will need to keep tightening it up. You might want to keep this tool and label what it's for if you don't have a set of Allen wrenches.Overall I find it acceptable. The smaller top box, the broken pieces and the dangerous hanging mouse are my main concerns. Know what to expect if you buy this thing.

Very sturdy and stable
Large enough for my two cats. Easy to assemble...except for the two ramps. They were a pain. The screw isn't long enough for the angle you are forced to work with. Also, the little dangling mouse is just stapled on and it won't last a week. Other than that it's awesome! The cats like playing on it.

Great product for the price.
Sturdy and really nice looking. My cats love it and use it all the time. Plenty of scratching posts and hideouts for the kitties. My cats are really active And it remains sturdy with them jumping and climbing on it
