Zenyatta Mondatta

The third of their three high energy earliest albums, Zenyatta followed Outlandos d Amour and Regatta de Blanc and is much in the same vein. Starts with the big hit Don't Stand So Close To Me and apart from the bland Do Do Do Da is strong throughout with my personal favourites Canary In A Coalmine and Man In A Suitcase

I bought this to replace my vinyl copy so I know the album is a belter! This CD is spotless, not a mark on it and the sound quality is crisp and very clear. Absolute bargain.

The Police's 3rd studio release is often cited as the band's least interesting album although, in reality, it is still decent enough in my view and forms an important bridge between two highly acclaimed LPs, namely 1979's 'Regatta De Blanc' and 1981's 'Ghost In The Machine. The superb 'Don't Stand So Close To Me' is a strong opener and 'Driven To Tears' keeps the momentum going very nicely; to be honest, there's nothing too much to quibble about regarding the running order given that most of the tracks are short and sweet ('Canary In A Coalmine', 'Bombs Away', 'Behind My Camel') with the exception of the ponderous 'Shadows In The Rain' which, at over 5 minutes, is rather tiresome. An enjoyable album which is worth picking up at a friendly price.

I recently replaced my vinyl copy of this, and other Police albums, with CDs. It's just like a trip back in time. I spent the day playing each album, going "Oh yes, this is my favourite track", "Oh, no, *this* is my favourite...."Sounds just as fresh as when I first heard it.

fyi - updating my vinyl which includes this album onto CD. So, why wouldn't I love something I'd already bought & wish to update onto CD. Bit annoyed I'm constantly asked by Amazon to review products

Great album by a brilliant band at the top of their game..great price for this remastered cd..some brilliant guitar work by Andy Summers, this underrated guitarist has a sound all of his own ..sting is great songwriter and with a world class drimmer in stewart copeland they had winning formula. .

One of my first LPs I ever owned.Brought back a lot of memories and great times.

Just like the one I had as a teenager. Looks great, sounds great. No problems with shipping.

Well, it arrived pretty quick, but honestly I was a disappointed with the results. It’s hard to see in the images because the plastic is still on, but the album jacket was bent and creased in one corner. I assume that’s the result from being bounced around in the huge box it was shipped in. Reluctantly, I removed the plastic wrapper covering and inspected the actual vinyl LP. It was fine, no damage. Still, at $30+ for an album, I’d expect it to arrive in better (flawless) condition.I have 5 more albums ordered from Amazon, and the thought of them all arriving with damaged jackets is concerning. I hope I won’t end up regretting ordering vinyl from Amazon.I gave the album 5 stars, because it’s always been a five star album. As I am unable to determine if the damage occurred during shipping or if the product was damaged before shipping, no further stars will be handed out in regards to end product quality.
