Morakniv Eldris Light - compact & practical - great for hiking, camping, or throwing loose in a bag
BLADE: Super sharp 2mm thick Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel (58HRC) blade is 2.3” long and nearly 1” wide and has a Scandi grind. Unlike the original Eldris knife, this light duty version does NOT accommodate a ferro rod for striking a fire off the spine of the blade. If you want this quality, get the original Eldris, which has a complex Scandi grind with a profiled tip. The blade on this Eldris light duty knife has a high polish finish tho, so it looks way cooler than the original Eldris model, which has a more practical satin finish. This is a Scandinavian carving knife so the grind goes all the way into the handle and there is no ricasso nor choil. This might pose a slight challenge when sharpening, but I am hoping this piece holds its factory edge for some time bc the grind is so deep, even, and dang near perfect. This edge is hair thin and sharp as the devil ! HANDLE: Handle is 3.5” long, 1.5” wide, and almost 1“ thick. It is made with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which is basically a combo of plastic and rubber, providing a very good grip in inclement weather or with sweaty palms. SHEATH: Polymer sheath appears sturdy and is very compact, perfect for throwing in a backpack or clipping on your belt (belt clip not provided). Some people might be disappointed that there is not a built in belt clip with this model, so if you want the option of vertical belt carry (or any form of belt carry), you’ll want to grab a different Morakniv model. The blade clicks into the sheath tho so it feels very secure enough and I would trust the knife bouncing loose in my bag. The sheath is constructed symmetrically, as is the knife itself, so you can sheath it either way, ultimately making this piece ambidextrous. CRITIQUE: No belt clip? I hardly care. This is not an EDC for me but a hiking knife to be thrown loose in a bag. This knife would also be great in a vehicle or purse bc its compact and easy to carry. SUGGESTION: Try a pinky lanyard [ see photo ] for additional safety when using this blade. A short cord works great when you wrap it around your pinky during use so that the blade does not slip and cut your hand when you puncture something. I like to knot my lanyard so that the lanyard itself is also locked between my fingers during use. Not sure if I’m doing it right but it works for me anyway.

Mora Mini. Multiple Uses.
Gosh, this knife is handy. I've used it for just about everything. Apples, boxes, bark stripping... it's designed really well for lots of uses. Because it's a Mora, I know it's a durable and high quality blade if taken care of.

Cool handy blade
I use mine as a boating/fishing/camp chore knife. Weave a lanyard thru the sheath and you have a very handy neck knife. Perfect size for most camp tasks and not to big to make you look like an over the top "bushcrafter". It's a Moria, sharp and hardy. It's is the perfect stocking stuffers/first knife. I am a knife collector/user. My knives must have utility and be affordable (no wall hangers). This mora is used on every camping trip, kayaking etc. It is the knife that will get a "cool" or "neat,I like it" as a gift or a treat for yourself.Price is great for tight budgets(quality is top notch)

Great budget knife for small camping kits
Small but capable. I like the blue color, wish it came with a belt loop. Overall it's a nice product. Mine had a slightly loose fit with the sheath but it's very minor and retention is adequate. Blade is sharp and even, grip is tacky helping to minimize slippage. Would buy again. Recommended.

Great knife
Considering you can get a larger knife from the same company at lower price, I guess this is a bit pricey for what it is. Grind the spine square and you have a great survival knife for a fire starter kit. It's a great size for whittling and, although it's a fixed blade knife and a bit bulky for EDC, you could fit it in your pocket if necessary. Fits perfectly in a Maxpedition FR-1 bag. For what it does, the price isn't that bad and the quality is good.

It’s not the size that matters, it’s how you use it

Personally I feel that this full blade is better. Than the other tapered slim version. Still works for small tasks.
