Does this support 1920x1080 @ 280 or 360hz?

I don’t know the answer regarding the frequencies you mentioned. I returned the cable because it didn’t work when connected between my MacBook Pro ( usb c) and a a brand new Dell monitor (DP)

I wonder if the connection is reliable?

I drive a 240 hz monitor via the cable, works like a charm for competitive gaming . No spikes or hitches even after throwing it around in my bag.

Would I be able to connect my Dell G5 gaming laptop to a 144hz monitor and it would be supported?

Yes. As long as the usb-c port is connected to your dedicated graphics card instead of the Intel Integrated one if you want to use G-Sync. If you don’t care about G-Sync then I don’t think it matters which graphics card the Usb-c port is connected to.

Can this cable support 7680x1440p @144hz?

it says on title 8k 60Hz so i would assume no.
