This is one of those products that's annoyingly expensive for how simple it is. And yet, they can charge what they do because it works—and it will make your life a lot easier.I'm on a well with less-than-ideal water pressure. I tried a cheaper knockoff version of the Python, and it was completely unusable. The genuine Python venturi pump, on the other hand, works just fine even with my lower pressure, and when I’ve used these systems on city water in the past, they’ve performed exceptionally well.The only real downside—and it's a known issue—is that if you shut off the water while in "fill" mode, the faucet attachment will spray water everywhere. The manufacturer even advises against doing this. It seems like this is a necessary trade-off to allow the venturi pump to pivot on the faucet, which helps prevent it from snapping off if you tug the hose. Still, it’s something to be aware of.These have been around forever. They were expensive years ago, and they’re still expensive—but they're absolutely worth it. If you don’t have one, you need one. It’s the key to keeping your sanity during water changes, and nothing else I’ve tried comes close. Highly recommended. And if you're not aware, they have recently introduced a "hook" that you can use to make filling easier. It's also expensive, and it's also necessary if you have a large tank. Make sure you buy both.

My mother's day gift from my husband! He's watched me clean our 5 aquariums for a year now, and lugged those 5 gallon buckets around for me every week. This device cut my water change time on all 5 by 75%, no more buckets, no more water drips! That used to be an all afternoon affair. It's a little tricky because the hose is 50 feet long, but I got the hang of it. The suction is perfect, not so strong that it eats my gravel or that I'm concerned I'll suck one of my curious bettas into the hose (lol!). As the guy from Boston says- "Five stahs."

I already have the 50-foot Python but purchased this one because I’m setting up a couple tanks that are further away from the sink. The 50-foot one has worked really well for several years now so I expect the same from this one. Great product!

I was so tired of carrying 5 gallon buckets to and from our aquariums, never again, no spill no mess easy peezy. No instructions but plenty of vids on line. Should have got one years ago. I got the long one, wish I would have measured to see what we really needed, quite a bit of hose. Shorter would have been fine and even easier.

Before making a purchase, it's crucial to ensure that your tank is situated on the same floor as your sink.Additionally, confirm that your sink can accommodate the pipe, as well as check that it's deep enough to handle the powerful influx of water entering the tank. The water flow is quite strong, so a deeper sink will help manage the pressure and prevent any spills. Taking these factors into consideration will ensure that you have a smooth and efficient experience with this product.
