Guest: A Changeling Tale

My son read through this fast and loved it. He is 15 and can't wait to read other books from this author.

I thought the book was a good model of a fantasy, or even a quest with the main character being a girl. Some of it reminded me of Harry Potter or the Hobbit, but they too are quests. I disagree with one critic’s harsh description of the main character. She is changed upon her return home with deeper empathy and maturity. One theme might be that one must not judge by appearances. Guest might be unattractive, but he is loyal and brave. We all need acceptance and love.

Good story. Not as creepy as I originally thought it would be. Not my favorite from this author. I prefer A Time for Andrew better.

I wasn't sure if I would like this tale of magic, being a fan of Mary Downing Hahn's ghost stories, but believe me when I say that this is every bit as engrossing and satisfying as her other works. Her writing is delightful, and I'm swept away into her story and become fully involved with characters. Enchanting, indeed! ~ Bonnie Hunter, The Librarian

Great read

My son liked this book quite a bit and I wouldn't exactly call him an avid reader. A good choice from the summer reading list.

Package arrived quickly and the book was as advertised - brand new, excellent condition.
