Best for butter block, not plastic

Great size, but especially for seniors very difficult to get gasket out and back in place.

Can freeze, dish wash, oven, silicone seal... just the best travel containers....Unlike plastic ware, you're not fretting if the lid came off because it has a positive locked seal that isn't going anywhere...

Haven’t tested for leaks, but I love the snug fit of the lid. Glass container is heavy duty. Can’t wait to bit buy next piece!

I am a big fan of Lock&lock. This is the best item for saving hot food. Love color, too!

I selected this Lock & Lock dish with the thought of using it to carry leftovers to work. I knew it would be small, though I was a little surprised at just how small this container really is. It doesn’t work well for me in the way I intended but we have found other uses for it that make it a helpful container in the kitchen.This is a 16-oz. container – approximately two cups – and that’s a little small to put in an uncut chicken breast half or a fish fillet. I would have preferred the space be allocated differently – shorter sides for a longer and wider dish. Though the space would be the same, it would accommodate more of the things I personally would use. That said, it is almost ideal for storing things like a few hard-boiled eggs or even carrot sticks. It’s a good size for keeping a single- or double-serving side.The container itself is borosilicate glass, which is great for several reasons. First, it can go from the freezer into the microwave and there is little worry of the dish cracking. Second, the glass does not melt as does plastic so heating up things like pasta sauces will neither stain nor blister the container. Finally, it does not retain odors as does plastic. The list itself is plastic, so use some care when heating up the dish when the lid is in place.This is not a bad dish at all. In fact, it’s a good dish that will server for years if cared for properly. I just wish the dimensions were different so that the same space could be used a little more effectively.

This 14 Oz Lock & Lock Glass Storage Container is pretty small, suitable for some leftovers. This size would definitely work in an air fryer, without the lid of course.The glass is very thick. I like the aqua color around the lid, which gives this glass storage container some color.The lid is not microwaveable, but the glass part is, as well as the oven, up to 750 degrees, it can even be put in the freezer. The glass part you can put in the dishwasher, but I wouldn't recommend you put the top in the dishwasher, just wash it by hand.I am thinking of using this one for half sticks of butter that I keep in the fridge. This Lock & Lock Glass Food Storage Container will really keep the butter fresh.I've had Lock & Lock Storage Containers for years, all plastic up until now. I've never used them to cook in, only for food storage, in and out of the refrigerator. I've used them in the freezer too.Besides using this 14 Oz size for leftovers, you could also take it to work.I love Lock & Lock Storage Containers. They make products that are not only useful, but the quality lasts.

This is a really nice container. I always like glass better than plastic when it comes to food storage containers because they don't stain, are easier to clean (by hand and if you use the dishwasher, they don't bend out of shape), and last longer. It's not too heavy, which makes it nice for transporting in a lunch box or for a picnic. I tested this out with water at first to see how leak-proof it was. As you can see from the picture, its not 100% leak-proof (probably about 95% leak proof). However, this was not enough for me to drop down to 4 stars because most things I would use this or are not going to be as thin as water - I may not use this for a very broth-y soup, but for anything thicker like a chowder or even something solid but oily, I don't think it would leak. Also, I literally had the container on its side and upside down to check, and just one drop was coming out slowly - if this was in your bag and placed right-side up, even if you bag fell over or tilted a little, I don't think it would leak. Overall for these reasons, I would recommend and give 5 stars.
