Direct replacement even though replaced an obsolute part and this is a universal fit part.
The HVAC folks had a 30 day backlog so I watched a utube video and used a VOM to determine that this was the problem. So, bottom line, I purchased and installed this part to replace a obsolete gas valve expecting a myriad of configuration settings. Fortunately, it was a drop-in replacement. The only issue I had was it took about 6 cycles for the air to bleed out of the system enough for the burners to light. Works great. Used it to replace 36E24-205.Remember to purchase pipe dope.....

This exact same gas valve was $70 more at Grainger.Shipping was quick and the gas valve worked perfectly.

quality gas valve
Our original gas valve was a prior model 36E24-209 and it lasted 14 years. That older model is obsolete but replaced by this equivalent White-Rodgers 36H33-412.The 36H33-412 valve's electrical component were laid out a bit different, but the unit still spun on easily to our furnace's gas inlet line. No further disassembly was required because there was adequate clearance to all adjacent parts. Just coated the threads with dope, and had the heater working again in under ten minutes. It's been tried over six months now and is rock solid.Note: in our case the green wire connects to C2 & the blue wire connects to M1 on the valve.

Worked like a charm
After our old valve gave us fits about wanting to work right, I called the local store and found out because of insurance reason they could and would not sell gas valves to residential consumers. While its understandable why they wouldn't, so cant blame them, but would have been nice. either way cant beat the price vs having an Hvac company coming out to fix it.

Lasted less than 11 months
Bought this Dec 4th 2019, installed a few days later,.. Failed in October 2020. So the valve was installed for less than 11 months and used less than half of that time. Add in the cost of installation etc... Bad deal!

Everything went great! The valve hooked right up and took very little time to install. It fixed the heater issue that we had been averting for a year!
