Hefty Ecosave Tableware Paper Plates, 22 Count, white

These plates lack the coating found on many paper plates. So depending on what you are eating these may not work well. Since they are compostable, I will still give four stars instead of 1.

Happy to find another green product available. Although they are a little too pricey for me to continue buying. I may buy them every once in a while because I really like them, they’re heavy duty, good for the environment because they break down, would work well for a big dinner like Thanksgiving.

I bought these plates because of the rave reviews posted here and because I thought since they are Hefty plates therefore they were made in USA. I could not find where it was made in its description. I ordered one first because it has a 10% discount and then decided to order three more because their prices are good. To Amazon's credit, I got all of them on the next day, they are better than USPS which took nine days for priority mail. To make a long story short, I found out they were made in China. (Now I did see that in one of the pictures posted here) Each bag was only tied with a filmsy tie. With the recent Covid19 pandemic, that kind made me uneasy. Also, one pack of them was much shorter than other three packs (see picture). I weighed them and found out the short pack weighed only 12.15 oz. while other three packs weighed 12.75, 12.60, 12.60 oz. accordingly. So I got thinner plates for the pack I received a 10% discount? I would really want to order some heavy duty paper plates that were made in USA. Anybody has any recommendations?

Small but very sturdy

I love compostable plates and bowls, not because I compost, but after use they make excellent firestarters/kindling in my wood stove.These are quite sturdy and hold up well, even with heavy and greasy foods. Good Value as well.

Very sturdy. Can hold up to a dish of pasta and sauce without getting soggy

This product is great for foods that have no liquid. However, if any extra moisture or liquid is on the plate very long the material/paper begins to peel away leaving it stuck to your food.

Amazing value and quality. Best eco friendly plates I've ever used, they're not flimsy at all, great for hot and cold food. I keep ordering these, don't feel as guilty buying these since they are eco friendly, and FL doesn't really recycle.
