An excellent set to get started with. Love mine.

I really like this set better than bamboo or steel.The hooks are shorter than most, but I am trying to use less crochet hook when I crochet, so these are perfect for that.The cable goes into the hook hole pretty securely and doesn't slide out like the corded sets do and they are super long which can be cut shorter if need be.The only downside is the size is hard to read on the hook, so if there's one thing I would change- it would be to have a black raised stamp on each hook. (The yellow one is almost impossible to read, which is why I chose it for one of the pictures.)The directions are clear with color photos and the packaging is done well.I'm really looking forward to doing more knooking, as I haven't done it in years!*EDITED: I took a black sharpie and colored in the size listed on the hook and wiped it off, creating a stamp I could see...*

I bought these to match the Denise knitting needle sets. Crochet and knit can be mixed together in the same project, so matching hooks I could attach to the cable were something I wanted. I bought the "knook" set because I could get it cheaper than a full set of crochet hooks without the knooking cords. Aside from the knooking cords, they are exactly the same as the crochet kit. And I didn't need the interchangeable cords, because I have the knitting set.I like the Denise projects. The plastic needles are quite nice. The yarn slides right other them so smoothly. The cords attach easily with just a little twist, and they don't unscrew when knitting (or crocheting). I bought a knitters pride interchangeable case, and it holds the knitting needles, the crochet hooks from the knooking kit, and all the cords. It's so nice to have a full set of everything I need for almost any project or yarn.

The needles seem to be working fine, I just have figure out exactly how to knit this way.

They work as intended however I don't like the hole being as small as it is and the handles are a bit short for my liking

This is the poorest quality crochet/knook set I have ever seen. The hooks are too short and made of plastic a bit sturdier than a drinking straw; the cords are that plastic ribbon we used to weave key fobs out of as kids. Embarrassed to say that they are made in USA. The ones made by Nihon Vogue are more expensive but worth it. Unfortunately Amazon does not carry them, even though they do carry some craft books by NV. This set is going back, I cannot believe I paid one day shipping to get them faster. The instructions are minimal--and uses the same method as indicated in the Leisure Arts Knook set available on Amazon. I much prefer the Eastern method of knitting with a crochet hook--more intuitive and less cumbersome.

The shape of these hooks are great, just wish they were a little longer for ease in holding them for me.
