I used this dual charger to replace my standard 12 volt receptacle. I can now charge my phone and iPad devices right at the helm station. It was an easy conversion, simply snapping 2 leads apart and then back on!

Excellent Product From a Great Company
As expected, the product is well made, looks nice, and works great. It is easy to install. I put one in each cockpit cubby, one in the salon, and one in each stateroom on my sailboat.

Doesn't charge iphone 12, 13 or ipad pro
I have several Blue Sea Systems product on the boat and they're generally well made. This one simply doesn't work. Tested on iphone 12, 13 & ipad pro, none get charged. Worked fine on a USB battery case (still didn't charge the phone attached) so there is voltage, but not what the iphone is looking for. I sent there of these back (all defective) and just decided to install cheap usb 3.0 chargers. I'm ok with swapping them out when they rust out when I can get 5 for half what I paid for one of these.

Rusted out in 2 outing.
I have used blue sea systems switch panels, and I trusted the brand, so I got this USB socket even though I paid little more then other brands. After 2 outings, I noticed green light is lighted but ports were not working. After doing tests, I decided to switch out to different brand. As I was removing this unit, I notice that there is rust mark that seemed as if it's coming out from inside. So I tore out the housing and see that the capacitor inside is rusted. How did water get in there? So the rust is not from any location that is visible or exposed to environment, but rust came from inside. I did mount it on my center console with 3M 4200 but may be there was still leak somewhere, I do not know. So this unit is not waterproof, not water resistance. If you are buying this thinking that it's water resistant, then please think again.
