I had this on vinyl and remember it fondly. When I read somewhere that it had been issued on CD I didn't waste time, and it was truly great to hear this quality music again. Instantly catchy tunes - for me "If you ever need someone" and "Catch the first thing smokin'" are supreme examples - but they are all good. Fabulous harmony vocals and gritty and soulful production just add all the right notes here. I have never heard anything quite this, but everyone should own a copy.

Growing up in Toronto and listening to Top 30 station Chum AM, I first became acquainted with Toulouse via a French/English hit called "It Always Happens This Way" in the late '70s. "APB," "What Would My Mama Say," and "If You Ever Need Someone" were released as singles, but none I think hit the charts. Nevermind. This collection brings back memories and still has a soft rock/pop almost "bluesy" contemporary feel. Good to see the girls made it to CD. Now, if we could get "Taxi Pour Une Nuit Blanche" on disc...

Toulouse reste encore inconnu... le groupe nous propose ici une collection de titres dans le genre de Shakatak... à découvrir... du nouveau dans la continuité bien orchestrée...
