First of all, price. Bear in mind that a standard Gu10 fitting costs a lot less and dimmable LED bulbs are also about the same when bought as a multipack, the only feature that warrants the price of this product is the waterproofing. It's far cheaper to kit out your living room with standard fittings and bulbs. Also note that the LED is not replaceable so if the light goes you will have to change the whole thing.On a positive note, the light is bright but has a nice warmth to it. It is also dimmable as I have tested this personally once it was fitted in our living room. Lastly, it has a 3 year warranty.Design - the mounting bracket (for insulated ceilings) attaches to the terminal with two plastic notches, and this is not that secure. This could cause a fire hazard as it detaches very easily. The design made it quite simple to fit- it took no longer than a few minutes.I can't comment on the suitably of this product for moisture rich environments as I'm not an electrician, all I will say is that it is overkill for a living room, where mine was installed.

Works well. LIttle heat, low power. Easy to replace existing units with these.

Very hard to put in and broke within a week

I have installed this downlight in my bathroom, so it's great that this is a water proof downlight. It was quite simple to install which was great. It looks rather good and the amount of light it gives off makes my bathroom light and gives it a warm feeling. The downside is that once the light goes you need to replace the entire fitting which is a shame. So worth buying a few so you have replacements available.

I used this to replace a downlight which used a 40w halogen GU10 lamp and I was amazed at the difference. But to start with I had to install it, as it was to replace an existing light I didn't need to cut a hole in the ceiling, I just used the existing one, connecting was simple with a clever clamp connector, no screwdriver required. just push down on a button, insert the stripped wire and release the button and it is connected, repeat for the other 2 wires and it is wired in.In use the light is fantastic, firstly it puts out a lot more light than the halogen lamp, but what really impressed me was the lack of glare and also the spread of light, the old one only covered a relatively small area, but this one covers a much larger area, much more evenly and almost without shadows. It seems to be a much whiter light as well, which I really like.This isn't a particularly cheap unit, but it is very well made and complies with up to 90 minutes fire rating, it is waterproof for use in bathrooms and is also dimmable, with a suitable dimmer switch. I am really glad that I requested it.

You have 3 different colours to choose from, I have Brushed Steel and looks well made and in good quality. The finish is great and the metal is perfect and looks very smart.They come in a box with the instructions if you just need to replace for an old one is no difficult to do just follow the process on the instructions and you will do it.Is waterproof so they should be very resistant and ideal for bathrooms, the metal will stay intact. The seller offers a 3-year warranty, this is fantastic and you know that I will last for a long time. I recommend getting this one is good quality.

Have fitted this inside my large pantry cupboard and wired it to a pir sensor so it automatically Comes on when the door is opened and turns off when the door is shut, provides a great light, good quality would highly recommend
