MTV Unplugged Live At Hull City Hall

Liam Gallagher it's actually a better solo artist than his brother! Believe it.
This performance was recorded in August of 2019 and Hull City in England and it's a fantastic performance. Liam Gallagher gets slide it a lot for his immaturity and his Feud with his brother Noel from Oasis but Liam has a great strong solo career and I would love to see Oasis get back together and see what Liam and Noel come up with in songwriting. The original set was 15 songs you get 10 on the CD the ones that leave that out or anything important you get all the best ones from the set. Trust me I'm a huge fan and I was like oh my God they left out five songs from the actual performance and the ones they left out it's not a big deal. I would have loved to have gotten all of them but one of them is a cover song and its mother solo stuff that's not that noteworthy get all the best stuff on one CD. There's no Wonderwall but he hits Stand By Me which is a forgotten Jim from the beaker now era 1997 and some say is amazing acoustically. And of course Champagne Supernova which is a trademark song for Liam. Mix is in a lot of the other songs like wall glass and once and a lot of these songs made their live debut so it's a really Keystone performance for Liam Gallagher. And all the crap on his voice sounded bad it's it sounds as good as it did in the early 2000s during the Glastonbury familiar to Millions standing on the shoulders of giants era.

So glad to finally have this!
Fantastic album! It’s nice to hear Liam’s live voice properly mixed on an album, because, while not nearly as good as in the 90s, or even on Dig Out Your Soul for that matter, it doesn’t sound nearly as bad as crowd videos would have you believe. In fact, as it’s own thing and with his solo songs, I really like his voice now. I wish he still had the voice he had 26 years ago, but he’s not a bad singer. When you listen to him singing Oasis songs you can’t help but wish for more, but when he sings the songs made for him now, with the voice he has now, it sounds perfect. As far as the product itself goes, I’m very pleased. It’s a gatefold for those wondering, with proper liner notes and not a generic sleeve. It comes with a folded poster with around 25 pictures from the performance. All in all a great album!

Great music on warped vinyl
Listened to this on Amazon music and decided it was worth investing in the vinyl. Liam's voice has lost a little power over the years, but this is a gutsy performance in front of a very rowdy crowd.I already loved the Oasis tunes and quickly fell in love with the new LG songs as well esp. "Now That I've Found You" and "Once".So I ordered the vinyl. The record cover is gate- style and a very nice presentation. My joy at the cover turned to dismay when I pulled a piece of vinyl out of the wrapper that was shaped like a Lay's potato chip. Ok..not quite that bad- but very noticeably not flat. I tried playing it on my cheap record player and was surprised it played as well as it did. However- it still warbled at times so I just returned it to Amazon. Didn't order replacement as now I'm nervous that it'll happen again as these sorts of manufacturing defects are usually not isolated incidents.

Liam on top; American fan's view
Liam Gallagher in resurgence. Having proven all the haters and naysayers wrong with his first solo album, he crushed their souls with his sophomore release Why Me Why Not, which is arguably better than his first. This live album is a celebration of Liam at the top-- where he has always deserved to be. History will show he was just as viable as super talented writer Noel.

Solid audio mastering for the vinyl version
Amazing album. Sounds really nice and warm on vinyl. They definitely payed attention to the mastering for the vinyl release. The only bummer is I received 2 warped vinyls. 1st one got replaced, and the replacement was still warped. Not as bad, but still warped. Maybe I shouldn't order vinyls in the summer?

Great CD
I absolutely love this CD. I have the MTV Unplugged program saved on my DVR, but it is nice to have this on CD and I enjoy it while I am in my car. As I recall the other reviews indicated that the CD is missing a couple of songs from the TV program, but the 10 songs on the CD are a great! I highly recommend the CD.

Excellent Song Choices!
I love this cd. Just got it today and have listened to it several times. Great mix of solo and Oasis songs. The live recording makes the music come alive.

It's never dull in Hull
I don’t think the irony of Mr Gallagher doing a MTV unplugged show is lost on many of his fans, as he infamously pulled out of Oasis own MTV performance at the last moment. Which I think shows a more professional attitude Liam now has for his craft (whether that’s a good thing..).A good collection of songs, with Liam’s solo tracks fitting in well with the Oasis numbers, my favorites being “Gone” & “Stand by me” (his brother has dismissed the album “Be Here Now” as drug-fueled self-indulgence, I paraphrasing a little bit), but they do all have quite complex arrangements, especially the tracks featuring the orchestra, which I don't think was the original idea of the MTV unplugged series, but I'm not going to tell his nibs.Only criticism is the show only lasts 43 minutes, with “Champagne Supernova" cut down to just three & a half minutes. Which seems a little short, perhaps it's so the concert could fit into hour long time slot for TV.Still a strong live album, with Liam in great form & certainly not going through the motions, it's just a shame there isn't more of it.

You only get to do it once.
It was easier to have fun back when we had nothingNothing much to manageBack when we were damagedSometimes the freedom we wanted feels so uncoolJust clean the poolAnd send the kids to schoolBut oh, I remember how you used to shine, back thenYou went down so easy like a glass of wine, my friendWhen the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it againBut it turns out you only get to do it onceI think it's true what they say that the dream is borrowedYou give it back tomorrowMinus the sorrowAnd the pain she just comes in to break up the daydreamHer knife edges wavingTo keep from feeling the same thingBut oh, I remember how you used to shine, back thenYou went down so easy like a glass of wine, my friendWhen the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it againBut it turns out you only get to do it onceYou only get to do it onceYou only get to do it onceYou only get to do it onceBut oh, I remember how you used to shine, back thenYou went down so easy like a glass of wine, my friendWhen the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it againBut we were wrong, you only get to do it once

Nice One “R Kid”
Bought this on Good Friday this is the edition with the free poster.I don’t own any Oasis records but anyone with half decent taste in music will like it.What can I say excellent album if your Oasis fan buy it and you won’t be disappointed.Standout tracks for me are Wall of Glass, One of Us, Stand by Me and Champagne Supernova.
