Wrangled (Spruce Texas Romance Book 4)

See you later, Sexy
Wrangled is the latest hot, thoughtful and introspective m/m romance by master storysmith Daryl Banner. A steamy combination of lust and love, Wrangled delivers many didactic lessons: including sometimes villains or in this case bullies do get happy endings, love has no labels, timing is everything, sometimes a happy life isn't what you thought it would be and independence and creative control everything. I really like how this and every other Daryl Banner novel breaks sterotypes. The reader follows along as Lance discovers his self worth and Chad embraces his sexuality. The reader also gets some visitors from other novels as well. I highly recommend everyone gets wrangled into reading this great m/m novel by Daryl Banner proving people can change.

Don't you think?
Every time I read a new Daryl Banner story, especially a Spruce, Texas story, I find myself saying, "This is my favorite". But yeah, THIS one IS my favorite. There is so much to love. You have small town bullies, small town minds, something in the water that grows these big beautiful gay men. You have redemption, secrets, wonderful friendships-new and old. You find forgiveness and beauty around every corner. Lance made me smile. Chad is just....yeah just sigh. Jo made my head spin but I loved her so much. There was a whole lot of growing up done here and every word was magical. "The world's as big or as small as you want it to be. Makes no difference in the end. What matters is what you do with what you got, and how much happiness you find in it, don't you think?"

Love the Spruce series. ❤️
I am so in love with this series that when it came live, I didn’t even hesitate to buy it. Wrangled is such an amazing addition to the Spruce books. The once difference in this book was it was told entirely in Lance’s POV. But it didn’t take anything away from the story. I loved Lance and Chad. Daryl did an awesome job of giving us the backstory of Lance’s high school trauma. Lance wanting to face up to his bully, which was Chad but Chad’s revelations and Lance’s forgiveness just made the story. Watching these 2 men slowly come to the realization of love was such an inspiration to read. I can’t wait to see who’s next in this town of Spruce to find his “One”.

Nutty But Fun
This addition to the off-the-wall MM romances that have suddenly sprung up in the small town of Spruce, Texas, has a super hot ex-high school wrestler (Chad Landry, on the cover) and a supposedly a bit fey Los Angeles fashion designer (Lance Goodwin) who returns to Spruce for their 10-year high school reunion.Problem is Chad used to bully Lance mercilessly and now Lance has the confidence to go back to his hometown and shove everything he can find into the faces of those who considered him worthless.Problem is, he gets to Spruce as most of his ex-classmates (mostly female) know who he is and are dying to renew acquaintances for a variety of reasons. One who is not a female is Chad, who also wants to renew acquaintance and that not only throws Lance for a loop but also throws the whole book up against the wall at times.Look, this book is fun at times, has a lot of hot scenes, is way overdone when it comes to the amount of partying these people can experience, but IMHO is completely unbelievable in its premise and in some of the ways it unfolds. Still, I got through it and gave it four stars because it really is a 3 1/2, but whatever.

8 Stars!
I just finished reading this beautiful love story by Daryl Banner. It was the first time I read something in the Spruce Texas series or anything by this author for that matter. It WILL NOT be the last.I fell in love, not only with the main characters in the story but with the Spruce Texas town. The author has such a vivid way of describing the town and the characters that I wanted to get to know them on first-name bases. I wanted to get invited to meet them at the diner for lunch. I wanted more, I don't know, just more from them all. I think everybody could use a few friends like these town folk in their lives. The storyline is solid, full of angst, laughter, sorrow, fun, pain, happiness, heat, and best of all, love bleeds through even in the depth of all the rest of the daily good and bad days. If there was a STAR RATING, I would give this book an easy 8 star! This author can write. This story is worth the time!

People do change !
You have a great gift for character development , a wonderful insight into people’s wounded and redeemable selves ,whether it’s the two main romantic characters Chad & Lance or Jo the ex- wife ( who I loved & laughed over hysterically and appears for only three pages )and even the little old lady on the airplane ( who I also loved and maybe has one page and a half in the book); all beautifully REAL and they are a joy to come to know, thank you !

Loved these two characters
I don't like all of Daryl Banner's books, but when he hits it out of the park, it's a home run. This, to me, was definitely a home run. His characters are usually rich and quirky and this was no exception. I actually started the series with this fourth book and after getting about half way through it decided that yes indeed I wanted to read the other three so I ordered them. I really liked Lance and I cried for the bullying he went through. I also could understand Chad and remember high school very well (and I'm in my 70's) where you had to hide so much because, let's face it, kids can be cruel, at all ages. I was impressed with Mr. Banner's sympathetic take on this subject. Well done.

I love this book, sexy!
Ok, I'm beginning to think Mr. Banner is one of my favorite authors ever. His writing is so easy to read an full of charming character revelations and humor and a unique descriptions. I simple and up loving all these very sexy gay men in Spruce, Texas! (There really must be something in the water there - which they need to bottle and sell wherever there are handsome, horny young men!!) And in this particular story Mr. Banner establishes two immensely appealing characters who logically work their way through a remarkably unlikely and entertaining journey. I love this book!

Wrangled
Just finished reading the lovely story of Lance and Chad, the most unlikely couple of Spruce, yet super certain.Their story is adorable the same time that it’s very serious on bringing the bullying issue amongst students. But even clearly describing the problem, Daryl Banner was able to present it in a light plot with adorable characters and very clever and slight funny situations. That was the fourth of his books in a row and going straight to the fifth. For a world full of Spruce Towns everywhere ;)

Amazing !!!
While I still have some questions left unanswered, I can't bring myself to let that bring down the absolute gem this book was!Lance broke my heart in a millions ways, and Chad came rolling in with a roll of duct tape. I adored the character development. I loved that Chad's past behaviour was redeemable and I love that they had a realistic happy ending. There were a few characters *okay, just one* that I couldn't get on board with, but otherwise, these 5 stars are well deserved!
