Martin Luther's Small and Large Catechisms

Luther's Small Catechism is certainly a staple among Lutherans, but the Large Catechism is woefully ignored. I'm thankful to have both in one small volume. As good as Small Catechism with Explanation volumes that have circulated since Luther first produced it, IMO the best explanation of Small Catechism is the Large Catechism. Though the book is pocket sized, the print is plenty big and super easy to read. The pages are a nice cream color (think German Bible Society Greek/Hebrew texts or ESV Journaling Bible) with paragraphs marked to align with the Concordia confessions also produced by CPH. This is a great volume that I am thankful for...I'll be buying copies for others in my family, for sure!

Every layman should have this little book of unquestionable truth concerning God's Word. Luther was one of the greatest men to live since the time of the Apostles. The catechism outlines the very basics of the Christian faith and should be studied by everyone.

Handsome volume—has a marker ribbon, thick pages, illustrations, leather bound. The print isn’t too small either for such a small and portable book.The material is great. I’m going through it little by little to instruct myself on how to conduct my life. With the help of God, of course! I’ve never read a Christian catechism before so imagine my wonder and joy as I read these pages. Glory to God—I’ve come home!!!!Thanks to CPH for another great product.

A nice pocket size book - quality

Perfect size for your purse, briefcase, or pocket. Having the Biblical truths of the Lutheran faith at your fingertips is wonderful.

However this is not the revised version, so it's more like a historical version.

This large and small catechism is a small, gilded edge, leather bound book. Nice, compact size and handsomely done.
