Not fake review... promise
I think why I liked this book and Stronger a good bit more than the other books in the series is because they made the world these characters live in (relatively) realistic. While I do enjoy the group mentality and group story mentioned by another reviewer, I feel that focusing on the individual may be beneficial in spurts in this series, as Michael Carroll has done with these last two. It gives the world a set lense to look through for an extended period of time, and I liked that. I may be biased though, considering both Brawn and Lance are favorites of mine. Can't wait for Crossfire!

Great buy!
This series has somehow solved all of my problems in getting my son to read. I no longer have to monitor him reading to make sure he reads. He reads whenever he gets a chance. Great buy!! Especially if you are looking to get your child reading a little or a lot more. Worked perfectly.

Enjoyable in oppinion
I really liked reading this book because it focused more on Lance than anything mainly because he is the character that I sort of identified with the most. The story was really interesting

Big let down! He can do better!!
I am more interested I'm the group rather than focusing on one person in the group . The earlier books were about the group. I enjoyed them more. His last two books were a let down . Michael Carroll make the story about the group dynamics! Then you will get back as a fan!

It's not the 'super' part that's important, it's the 'human' part...
This the fourth, and last, of the Super Human Clash series, and the book that ties the prequels in to the original Quantum Prophecy trilogy. The 'Hunter' of the title is 14-year-old Lance McKendrick, and hunter is his alias and his mission. We first met him in Super Human, where he helped the teen super-humans battle Krodin, the first of their kind.Lance has no super human powers - but he is a gifted con-artist. He's probably my favourite among the characters in this series: I find it easier to identify with someone who doesn't have special powers. Give me Batman over Superman any day. 'Hunter' is Lance's coming-of-age story. We follow him as he joins a travelling carnival, while at the same time searching for the super-villainess who murdered the people he cared most about. We see him learn to apply his skills, as he gradually matures, turning from a self-centred teenager into an altruistic twenty-something.There are fewer fights between costumed superheroes in this novel - though there's still plenty of suspenseful action - and we spend more time with the main character as he meets and forms friendships with a variety of characters.Of course it all leads up to a final confrontation between our hero and the supervillains. I really enjoyed seeing Lance - who is not strong enough to out-fight the bad guys - having to come up with a plan to out-think them. And it all builds to the terrific final battle, where the adult super humans lose their powers - which brings us full-circle, back to where the series began. But this is not the end - oh, no! With the two series now converged, we are ready to move on to the next New Heroes adventure, the 2015 novel Crossfire.
