Directed Electronics 5X10 Digital Remote Start Security System with 3 Lock

Overall it did what it was designed to do. Press lock 3x on factory remote and car starts, press lock 3x more and it will turn off.Not a perfect system by any means. Cant figure it out but at one point it did cause a clicking sound, the dash light panel flashed a couple times, and the car kept restarting even after pushing the pushtostart button to turn the car back off. It has done this three times.Also it requires a xpresskit.com logo account. Luckily I found a guy in a Dodge Journey forum who worked for the company and set me up with an account so I could program it.Also the install instructions were not clear. You have to cut the yellow wire loop on the side of the black 5x10 control box. I spent two hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. Thankfully the rep I met on the forum enlightened me on this often missed step.

Directed should continue to have more of this 5x10 remote start Security. Big mistake for stop making this product.

B stock item. When flashed for 03 Silverado door trigger data did not work. Will never buy from buyer again. Lost time money and almost customer, trying to figure out why the doors would not trigger. Had to hardwire all doors

The kit came complete however, according to the wiring diagram provided on the website the 'kill switch' needs to be plugged directly into the the 5x10 module. However the switch in the kit I received didn't have a two pin connector on it, only the bare wire. Apart from soldering the wires onto the module itself I don't see how this could be connected correctly, which I feel wasn't the intention of the kit.Update: The switch that didn't come with the connector on it was necessary for the remote start to function, so instead of waiting on the company to send me a new one or even returning mine and ordering a new one I soldered the wire directly to the board. It ended up working perfectly.

At the recommendations of my viper installer, the 5x10 is the only way to go and the improvements viper and directed made have enhanced to speed to which the app and the vehicle interact.
