Start from inside of the idler pulley.

Worked fine. A little hard to install with a new water pump and new idler pulley. I found if you wrap the belt around the *inside* of the idler pulley before going over the big upper pulley, it goes on much easier. The outside of the idler has a tall guard that is really hard to get over. This was for a 2000 MPV.

Fit My 2003 Mazda MPV Perfectly

This fit my 2003 Mazda MPV pefectly in the water pump position. I didn't need any tools to replace it. Just push the idler pulley in by hand and install the belt.

September 12, 2020 = Just installed on a 2001 Mazda Tribute V6 with 149,xxx miles. Belt fit the water pump perfectly. Time will tell us about the longevity.
