Well, it's just an well finished lump of metal. It works like any other such record clamp. But it's beautifully finished and got very elegant looks. It's priced right, not like some exorbitant snake oil. And the price further went down after I got mine..Grab it.

Great little addition
Arrived in a well packed and attractive box. I wasn't too sure what exactly to expect when I tried it at first.I can tell you from using it for a few months now...99 percent of my albums that had a little skip when playing, no longer have the skip. This weight keeps the vinyl nice and tight to the slip mat surface.This one in particular is nice because I can close the lid on my record player and trap in all that audio goodness.Built solid and totally happy with it, always have been impressed with this brand!
