Great Book!
Great book with many worked examples for beginners to advanced users. The book shows how to set up: static, xfem, buckling, kinematic assemblies, etc. I would love more books like this with an expanded background on references to material properties.

OK but skips details at times.
The premise of this book is targeting exactly what a lot of analysts would need, a practical hands on guide to using abaqus. The book does consolidate a fair bit of what you might slowly piece together on your own. He leads you step by step through some exercises to increase your familiarity with how the software works. Except... sometimes he skips over steps or tells you to do things that don't seem to exist in the software, or are somewhere else, which can at times be frustrating. I cant be sure if its because at the time of writing maybe the interface of abaqus was different than the version my company currently uses, or if its just an oversight. But, if you can work around these things the book is worth having and the price point is quite reasonable compared to other similar references.

Not readable in printing
Maybe a good book, but it is very hard to follow the examples due to the cheap printing in black and white. Maybe the Kindle version is more readable.I am very disappointed.
