John Guest Speedfit 5/16 Inch OD x 1/4 Inch OD Reducing Union, Push to Connect Plastic Plumbing Fitting, PP201008WP

I fixed my 1990 GE side by side refrigerator that I needed to cap the line to the water dispenser in the door because it was no longer working properly and an appliance repair company said he would be unable to find the part needed due to the age of the appliance. The option was to cap the line so I needed to purchase a John Guest 5/16 reducing fitting to 1/4 inch, some 1/4 polypropylene tubing and a 1/4 John Guest cap to close the line off. It worked perfectly

This piece was crucial for installing my RO water filter system. It perfectly adapted the 1/4 line into the 3/8 drain. So glad I found it.

The 5/16 water line in my fridge broke, spewing water everywhere. I patched it with a 1/4 line which necessitated two of these. No leaks and problem solved in under 5 minutes, plus the week waiting for these to arrive. Unfortunately none of the local stores I went to had anything like this.

This was the final piece I needed for my ro system. Worked like a charm. Would recommend A+

Did what was expected, perfect reducer.

After a lot of research, several calls to the useless Bosch customer support/Parts line who had no clue what I was talking about without a technician coming out to the home, I found this piece to replace the leaky water fitting adapter on my Bosch 800 refrigerator. Most fridges at 1/4 to 1/4, but not Bosch. They provide an adapter, but when it went bad.. I needed a replacement. The 5/16" to 1/4" fit the bill, and for 4 ish dollars, this product saved me a lot of money. Seems nice and secure, and water tight. Been on for about a week now. Will update in the future, if any are needed (I hope not ha)Good product, great price, saved a big headache.
