The usual motion sensitive dawn to dusk bulb must be positioned to see the movement to be effective. In my application I wanted the light to come on in a closet where the bulb was horizontal and facing away from the path of movement. The radar unit is very sensitive to movement from any direction and will even come on when I approach the door from the outside. It sees through wood/plaster walls. It turns off after 25 seconds of no motion but be aware of its extreme sensitivity. It was great for my application, I didn't have a switch to activate the light, always on. The original setup used a screw in bulb extender with a string pull cord to activate the light. The string kept breaking.

Installed these on the front of my garage. They work quite well, lighting up for people, animals and on windy nights for leaves blowing past. The one thing that surprised me was that the one nearest the side door of the garage appears to sometimes sense me walking past the inside of the wall it is mounted on and turns on.

I put this in my outdoor light to avoid theft of my deliveries and for the drivers to see well when they put a package in my deck box on my front step. Only problem was it is soooo sensitive, it was coming on as I worked in the kitchen so I put it in the light nearer my garage and still shines on my porch step. I was afraid it may not work but it works toooo well which is better! Now it will come on if I go out to my garage which is okay too....keeps people aware to stay away! May also help the plowmen to see where to plow and where NOT to plow. I'm a bit of a motion sensor junkie in this unsafe world so this was a great find for me with a backup in case the LED wears out.

The motion sensor is extremely sensitive and turns on the light with the slightest movement.We have it installed in our back deck we notice that it turns on a lot during the night.We have woods behind our house and evidently any movement at all activates it.The light bulb itself gives off a bright natural light.

I can’t get them to work

Rather than run all the wire and conduit for a three way switch in a dark stairway entrance hall, I mounted one of these at the top of the stairs, and it works perfectly. The stairwell is now brightly lit and much safer.

The bulbs work fine but I picked a bad color. I picked a light with a blue hue instead of the soft white. The one I picked later pled like the lights at a police interrogation room. Look closely at colors before you buy because their white white is really a blueish eerie hue.

Does not work consistently on motion. Need to constantly unscrew and screw back in to make motion work again. When I find a good bulb I’ll throw out. Local stores sell similar bulbs that don’t work well either. Probably from same overseas source. Don’t buy.
