I've used these several times and they really do a great job of cutting new threads quickly and cleanly.The resulting threads are smooth and clean.Using them effectively needs some care and experience. You've got to figure out the best speed for drill for one thing. Too slow will cause it to bind and too fast can cause you to loose control of the tapping process. If you've got a shallow hole then you have to make sure you stop cutting soon enough to reverse drill and back out the tap. If you don't then you risk ruining the threads as you back the tap out of hole.Make sure to use sufficient cutting oil.I've broken several so far but that's because I am not doing the process right or using due care while tapping. I've used all sizes and they all tap well. With the smaller sizes you must make sure to do tap in one motion. If you stop before it is fully tapped you can easily break the tap when you start again to either tap further or back the tap out.I recommend this product based on personal use.

Need to practice on soft wood to get the feel. Slow drill speed so you don't pull out threads or snap bit.

These will rethread the hole when you need it. Just be sure to lower the torque on the drill.

I do a lot of 3D printing and many times there are threads needed in the part. Many times part hole I.D.'s are just a bit smaller than the actual root diameter to tap them straight away, requiring the need for seperate drilling and then tapping/threading. There drill taps work perfect with a small electric screwdriver to ream and tap multiple holes quickly and in one step!!! Great for plastic...can't comment on use with metals.

Haven't used them yet so I can't speak to "ease of use " nor to "durability".But it seems to be a great value.I recently had to drill and tap a few 1/4-20 holes;.the time I spent finding the right tap in my infrequently used box of cheap taps, birthed much frustration. This set looks to be an efficient package that should be easy to store in a convenient location.I am certainly not expecting industrial quality and durability but a reasonable life for producing a handful of tapped holes will be a welcome relief of simplicity.

I used this for the first time and it was to drill a small hole in some cheap furniture and the tips of 2 of the bits just snapped off like it was breaking a toothpick. I want a refund or replacement also the fact I had to go and buy more from Harbor Freight in a supposedly inferior product and got it done with ease. Also about ten times the equipment for same price.
