Q: What is the sampling rate of this sensor?

The analog measurements and calculations are run as fast as the Atmega328 chip will run. The cycle loop time is around 240 microseconds. You can see this measured dT if you monitor the sensors serial output.

Q: During calibration, I only see orange led and nothing else. How do I calibrate?

The instructions are on the PDF attached to this product page. A solid orange light indicates that you have power. As you rotate the magnet across the sensor you will get additional lights indicating the field strength. Once you have rotated it many times and you have a good green or blue light you can press the button once and it will have a basic calibration.

Q: I only see one button? Where is the other one? In instruction it says two buttons?

The unit sold on Amazon has a single button. The Andymark version has a second button that replicates the function of the single button and is easier to reach when installed in their swerve module. The sensors are identical otherwise.

Q: Can this sensor return absolute position? i.e. If I turn the sensor on in some random orientation, will the sensor know what position it is in?

I should further clarify that the sensor reports an absolute angle with respect to a single rotation. For example, once the sensor crosses 360 degrees it then starts reporting again at 0. It is not a multi-turn device.
