Emergency Machines

Great book. Features some not so common rescue vehicles for the kid who already knows all the basics. Beautiful photos. Really good for the price. I do wish it was hardcover, as it’d just seem like a nicer gift and I think it’d hold up better. With frequent reading this will probably get trashed pretty quickly, especially since the binding is tight and I imagine my son will press it down (bending the pages) to make it lie open flat. The wording and font are a bit juvenile- I wish it was more basic and hope it isn’t a turnoff for my 7 yr old. Good book though for 3-6 yr olds. Changing the font and omitting the juvenile “which machine would you need for a sea rescue” questions would increase target audience to 3-10 yrs old. Lastly, I count 1 female rescue worker, wish there was more.

I bought this book as a gift for my 5 year old nephew, and he loves it! The variety of vehicles included is fantastic, and the photos are great. I would recommend it!

Great book for young kids interested in the different kinds of emergency vehicles. I bought this for a 6 year old.
