Best Brand
I had my mechanic install this on a 97 Nissan Hardbody 2.4L 2WD.The previous set was LUK, installed by a friend.LUK, Valeo, Sachs, they're all junk.Exedy is the best for Japanese vehicles and it has that OEM feel, you know, light and precise.I would flush out your hydraulic fluid and use dot 4 valvoline synthetic. If you have the funds, I would replace the master and slave cylinder.Worn slave cylinder can bust and leave you stranded and worn master cylinder is squeaky

Lost money if I returned it
I ended up not needing the product, but if I were to return it, I would have lost 100.00 for restocking and shipping and handling. I wasn't very happy about that.

Completely different feel from original
So I just completed installing this complete clutch kit on my 2002 Nissan Frontier 4-cylinder King Cab 2WD. I had purchased it due to a noisy release bearing. My first impression after installing it was that there must be a problem with the hydraulics of the clutch as there was virtually no resistance in the clutch pedal compared to before the replacement. I checked the fluid level and verfied that the fork was moving in conjunction with the pedal so it seems that there is just less spring tension in the clutch cover/pressure plate. Immediately after starting the engine I could hear a faint tinny whining noise different than what I had been experiencing prior to replacement. It is audible only when disengaging the clutch and starts as soon as I rest my foot on the clutch pedal. It sounds like the release bearing.Next I decided to take the truck around the block for a test run. Not only does the pedal feel much lighter than before, but the disengagement point is much sooner in the pedal travel. Prior to replacement the engagement point was at around 40 - 50% of the total pedal travel where the new one is at around 10 - 20%. This is exactly the opposite of my experience with a new clutch which typically requires you to have to depress the clutch pedal further before it disengages. This leads me to believe that I will have less life in this clutch than the original Nissan part.Although it has only been a day since the replacement, between the noise and the feel I will likely order an original Nissan part and go through the replacement process again.

Who wants to replace this???
Seems to be of quality as OEM or better. Has better grabbing power and easier to stay stopped on hills. My mechanic said it was well built and a good choice. Paying manufacturer/dealer prices isn't necessary, you'll get a good quality kit for less.

but the materials seem as good as any OEM style replacement I've seen
Seems very sound. All the parts fit perfectly and went together without issues. It may not have as stiff an action as the original, but that is a bit subjective. Engages smoothly and without any chatter. Holds solidly. We will have to see how long it holds up, but the materials seem as good as any OEM style replacement I've seen.

No complaints here.
Almost 2K on the clutch. Works perfect!I now have 5 yrs and 30,000+ miles on the clutch. Still working perfect as expected. Definitely on par with NissanOEM clutch that had 130K on it before I replaced it with this one. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
