Rugged Armor Designed for iPhone SE 2020 Case - Matte Black (ACS00944)

This is the fourth case I have tried for my new iPhone SE and the ONLY case that provides enough front lip clearance to keep the screen WITH a screen protector from touching when laying the phone face down on a flat surface. This was a big deal for me and I was starting to get more than a little frustrated with false claims of a raised front lip…maybe raised enough without a screen protector, but who does that? The lip provides about 1/32” clearance with the screen protector. Done and done. Aside from that, the grip is good, buttons actuate without having to invoke a death grip (like the Otter I tried), fit is perfect, price is right. It still is a slim case and I wouldn’t recommend throwing your phone out of a moving car to test its durability, but I have no doubt that it will do its job just fine under normal real world situations. Highly recommended.

Great value and great looks. Sturdy and protective. I've dropped my phone multiple times and it has worked like a charm to protect my phone. It's also very minimal...very thin case that is easy to remove. The buttons work perfectly and the cut outs are precise. Absolutely a great case.

Pros: Nice and thin, aesthetically pleasing, easy and simple to use. Cons: Too slick The reason I chose to purchase this case, other than the fact it looked very thin, was because of how happy I have been with my old Spigen case on my iPhone 5. It has been dropped many times and has protected my phone wonderfully. I just hope my new case for my iPhone SE2 will do the same. I like how simple it is to use and how little space it takes up. The negative is I didn't feel comfortable at all holding it because of how slick it is. My remedy was to buy the TFY Hand Strap Holder to keep on it. The strap has a nice rubbery texture and grips to surfaces well. I have included pictures of my new case as well as my old.

Good case overall and looks great on a black iPhone SE 2020 -- its all black with some carbon fiber accent. Fits properly and holes/cutouts line up perfectly -- buttons work great without issue and no problems with wireless charging. One thing I don't like is that the sides are a smooth matte finish which has some grip but not as much as I would like. Have the same Rugged Armor case on my Galaxy S10e but that case has a reinforced grip design on the sides -- wish they would've done that for this iPhone case as well. Plan on installing a clear front/back screen protector to avoid micro scratches on the front and back glass -- don't like dry install or tempered glass so I'll go with a wet install protector instead. Be careful with the lightning port cutout while holding the phone since the edges are a little sharp -- not a problem for me since my pinky finger ends up resting under the left speaker. If your pinky finger rests under the lightning port then don't rub it against the phone or else it'll hurt -- feels like scratching your skin with fingernails

UPDATE- While working on a roof a while back, my phone (ensconced securely in this case) fell out of my pocket, tumbled down the length of the roof and over the edge, where it bounced off the rim of the dumpster before skittering across the asphalt parking lot. When I retrieved it, there were a few new scuffs on the case, but the phone itself was in perfect condition. If you’re undecided, buy the case. It’s worth it, and you won’t regret it. Oh, and the kickstand is still going strong, too. *Original review * This is the updated version of the case I bought six years ago. Finally bought a new phone and the old case wouldn’t fit. It’s still in great shape, and so is the phone, thanks to the case. I dropped it plenty of times, and nothing to show but a few scratches and wear points on the case. This is built just the same, and includes an updated kickstand. That does seem like it may be a little fragile, but so far no issues. I’m a firefighter and construction worker. This case is good. Highly highly recommend this case.

Great case for my iPhone SE (2020) and the black looks sharp with my black iPhone. I had the same model (Spigen Rugged Armor) case (in midnight blue) for my iPhone 8, and this case fits/feels the same. It feels good in the hand, doesn't slip, fits the SE 2020 precisely, all the buttons (volume up/down/power) are easy to push, feels protective but doesn't add much bulk, has a "lip" to protect the screen in case of face-down drops, charges great in my Anker wireless chargers, and the hole in the back of the case is cut-out perfectly to accommodate the Apple logo in the middle of the iPhone SE (since it was towards the top on the iPhone 8). Highly recommend!

Fits my phone perfectly. It’s well made and provides protection for my phone.

No disappointments here, this is what i was expecting for the price, and photos, and description. However coming from Elements rugged case, this is nowhere near what i would call "Rugged Armor". This is no Rugged Armor. I would call plate mail a rugged armor. This is more like light leather armor, if you know what i mean. Quality is good. Looks good too. Nice to touch, buttons and charging port are right on spot. I will use it happily. We'll see how it handles time.

It's coming up to a year now, and with the changing of my phone, I thought I'd pop in a review for anyone considering. In short, I would recommend this case to my friends, and I will be buying my next phone's case in this brand due to its durability and longevity. In England, there is a extensive amount of (broken) cobblestone roads, paths, and walk ways. I have dropped this bad boy so many times on these paths, and the case has protected it every single time. Night club floors? Check. 2am on a country lane? Check. Dropping from your hand and, trying to catch it with your feet, inadvertently yeet it into a wall? Check. Survived all this with no damages. For the price it is, this is a steal. Combined with a screen protector, this phone has outlived the expectations of everyone I know due to my destructive disposition. Thank you creaters for saving me from family disappotment. Arguably, you could say it's clunky, and covers all the phone's colours. However, as someone like myself, I like the thickness, combined with a pop socket, this still fits comfortably in (women) pockets and jeans 10/10 gg

Great protective case and easy to hold and use buttons.

La cover protegge perfettamente il telefono, sia io che mio fratello usiamo cover spigen da anni (rispettivamente per xperia xz1 e honor 9)e questa volta è toccato a mio padre con l'iphone se. Il telefono risulta un poì piu grosso in mano ma considerando il grado di protezione che assicura il gioco vale assolutamente la candela, soprattutto visto che si parla di uno smarphone compatto. La cover è per design e materiali praticamente uguale alle cover che ho già avuto per i due smarphone sopracitati per cui posso assicurare che il prodotto è durevole e che la qualità della plastica dura degli anni al contrario delle cover in silicone che potete comprare su store cinesi o nelle bancarelle. Ricapitolando: Protegge bene lo smarphone I materiali sono di qualità e non deperiscono con gli anni Rende il telefono più grosso ma anche più facile da tenere in mano (Iphone se senza cover è una saponetta) Unica nota negativa per me è il design che non mi fa impazzire ma da un punto di vista funzionale è imbattibile

Spigen is the best case for iPhones that I found on Amazon or anywhere else. The best prices I have noticed, for Spigen, are on Amazon. I really didn’t need new cases, but they were at great prices, so I bought them. I even ended up with one I already have, but I decided to keep it anyway. The quality of the cases is top notch, and the protection they offer is very high, I wouldn’t use them otherwise. They fit my iPhone perfectly, and are easy to put on and to remove, to put on another Spigen case, of course! The buttons are very easy to locate on the cases, and are in the exact location of the iPhone buttons.
