this thing is BIG, SHARE and heavy it looks very durable. the eye of the axe is large so you can put a large diameter handle on it. its going to make a nice pole axe

First off, I love it. It came razor sharp with a beautiful finish where you can tell this thing is the product of a master blacksmiths hands. Both horns have razor points and this thing cuts like a sword and thrusts like a spear. But. If you buy this thing, well lets just say its not for small fries. This is a MANS weapon. Huge, and VERY VERY HEAVY! Heavier than expected but for a guy like me standing at 6'6 weighing 295lbs its not that much of a problem but I definitely know Im not holding a toy. Which is part of the The reason Im only giving 4 stars. Because its way thicker than a traditional dane axe head and way heavier too. A dane axe is supposed to be a light elegant weapon that should be maneuvered easily but still be able to generate the power to break a shield. This thing is Barbaric, crude, and if I were to be on the battlefield in the 10th century with this, just plain mean lol. Im confident this thing could take out a full grown grizzly bear with one well placed swing. But with that added weight the power this thing can produce is incredible so it does even out.

I still need to haft it up, but this has a lot of character. As noted in the first review, its a heavier than the historic Dane Axe head. The historic vision could go down to 2mm thickness, which is very thin for am axe this size. Oddly enough, its not that much heavier than the Cold Steel Dane axe head... between the two, this is a much better axe head!

This is a really good Dane axe head, very strong and holds an edge well. 10/10 would buy again.

Love my new axe head now I just need a proper haft to name and decorate with runes.
