It's the Final Touch.....Right Before Celery Salt!
In my humble opinion, a hot dog is not a hot dog unless it's a Chicago Style Hotdog. Guy Fieri, famous TV host of "Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives" called the Chicago Style Hot, a hot dog with a salad or some facsimile thereof. I would disagree, it's a complete flavor burst surrounding at Vienna Hot Dog. In Chicago, it's also referred to as a Red-Hot. And those Sport Peppers? Ooh-La-La!!A Chicago Style Hot Dog is more than just a Hot Dog; it's a taste sensation with the perfect blend of toppings. So, what exactly is a Chicago Dog? A Chicago Style Hot Dog is a steamed all beef Hot Dog topped with yellow mustard, bright green relish, onions, tomato wedges, pickle spear or slice, sport peppers and a dash of celery salt served in the all-important steamed poppy seed bun.The toppings are just as important as the order they are applied to the Hot Dog. Add toppings in the following order:Yellow MustardBright "Neon" Green RelishFresh Chopped OnionsTwo Tomato WedgesA Pickle Spear or SliceTwo Sport PeppersA Dash of Celery SaltRemember: When adding toppings, dress the dog and not the bun! And those Sport Peppers offer that little bite which enhances the total experience.

Chicago Dawgs
I'm half a country away from Chicago, but I use these to make my hotdogs taste like the real deal.

If you can't find Vienna's, these are just the ticket
I've long been a fan of Chicago-style hot dogs, so when Sonic drive-in started offering them a couple of years ago, I became a regular to get my weekly 'Chicago dog' fix. Unfortunately, they're now off of Sonic's menu, so I'm left to my own devices.Sport peppers are smallish peppers that are more dense than a jalapeno with pretty much the same amount of heat. The sports do have a distinct flavor, though, that sets them apart. These are hard to find outside of Chicago (I went to a dozen of my local chain and locally owned supermarkets with no luck), thank goodness for Amazon.A lot of people (including me) swear by the Vienna's Sport Peppers, but if the Vienna's aren't available, you can't go wrong with Marconi's. Maybe a little hotter and a little tougher chew, but still good.

Delicious
Bought these for my dad who’s originally from Chicago. He always complains about never being able to find them in the stores so I surprised him with these. It was like he was a kid on Christmas with how excited he got over them. They arrived in perfect condition with a solid seal. Taste delicious and had the perfect heat.

For authentic Chicago dogs
After leaving the Chicago area, I learned that sport peppers were not the national treasure I thought they were. I looked all over grocery stores in different parts of the country and always struck out. You can imagine my delight when I found these on Amazon. I can now enjoy a good hot dog even in Alaska. Be sure to pair these with a quality beef hotdog and you can't go wrong.

Stringy, open container, a waste of money
These peppers were not edible. The liquid leaked out into the box. The picture shows a metal lid but it had a plastic, unsealed lid with part of a pepper stuck in it. I decided to try a pepper since they are pickled. I tried to slice one with a sharp knife. I couldn’t cut through it. It was stringy and unable to be chewed. They are not returnable so you’ll be wasting your money if you purchase them.

I love these peppers!
My problem is not with the product itself, I am not happy with the fact that the seal around the jar was broken and jar was leaking.
