Depends on the parts that need replacing. This gets brittle if in direct sunlight but the hose usually is fine

Not if you're using it inside a window that already has a screen. if you're venting straight outside, then try rolling a knee-high pantyhose or trouser sock.

Is the 5 " diameter smooth or ribbed...i bought the delonghi ne1948 vent but it's ribbed to connect the hose...delongi doesn't know what they are doin

this one is smooth for an adapter fitting, if you want the ribbed version to go directly on the tubing get NE 1948
