If you're looking for a great starter diving knife, look no further my friends. As a fairly novice diver (approx 3 years under my belt), I was on a lookout for a good beginners knife as my instructors always advised us to carry one not to be used as a weapon, but for as a safety precaution (i.e. freeing your buddy diver from fish nets/sea kelp/ whatever junk people throw in the sea and even using it as an anchor in heavy current- genious!). The blade is 5 inches long, with similar handle length, which proves to be the best proportion for gripping especially when using it with gloves. Very durable and easy to use. Will definitely be taking this along every dive going forward.

Knives are NOT as described. They are not made with good stainless steel as after half a day of diving they were both RUSTING.The case is made from extremely cheap plastic and very brittle. The one case broke after one day of diving and as a result the knife fell out of the holder during my second dive and was lost for good due to this poor case.

Looks like a great knife, but, handle design is flimsy. The single piece blade-to-hammer-bottom jiggles back and forth from indside the handle. Handle need to be secured better to the metal.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my dad and I think he is going to love it. It's a great knife. Pretty sharp and sturdy. I would recommend this product to all of my family and friends. I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Deep Sea Excalibur has provided a practical, sturdy, and very useful Scuba Dive/Deep Sea Diving Knife, especially for novice divers like me. It's a great defensive knife that's extremely sharp and very easy to grip. It comes with two plastic belts for a secure fit, for people of all sizes, and it stays put but is very easy to access quickly in it's practical but sturdy sheath. The knife also comes in handy for many other outdoor activities, such as cleaning fish, removing conchs from their shells, and cutting meat. An avid and extremely experienced scuba diver may prefer a more expensive, more elaborate knife, but this one is perfect for beginners and divers who will be experts one day but aren't quite there yet.*I purchased this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Great design and quality. Sturdy and grip feels good. Looking forward to trying it out on the next trip.
