Very Dissapointed
I must admit to not ever being a great fan of Annie N, but given her experience, background and exposure to the greats, I was very much looking forward to tucking into this book and possibly consuming it within a lockdown day.I could not have been more disappointed and to be honest, am struggling to finish it.It is lazy writing at its very best and misses a terrific opportunity to tell really insightful stories into the many characters that Annie has met and worked with over the years, ie. a number of chapters which at first glance make the ears prick up (for example, Keith Moon, John Peel, Mike Skinner) are simply either replays (verbatim) of (short) interviews or (with the great JP), a two page piece Annie wrote in the paper the next day. So yes, the chapter entitled "John Peel" is less than two pages long. Shameful.

Dull
Despite being a fan of Annie I found this book somewhat of a struggle. Dull anecdotes, self aggrandisement a-plenty, punctuated with dropped names and a somewhat impersonal account of disconnected events. The chapters jump all over the place, which was somewhat disconcerting and contributed to the lack of flow in the reading. I persevered, but really didn’t want to. Disappointing, to say the least. This could’ve been great. Instead it’s a missed opportunity.

Book of two halves
I found the first third of this book really interesting . As I don't like anything 'Techno ' I found the other two thirds boring and long winded . Annie is and will always be , one of a kind and a trailblazer for many . As a sixth year old , my taste in music has always stayed in the 70s , so maybe not the best too review this book . It's worth a go .

Fantastic Trip
Beautifully regaled tales from the last 50 years of a sparkling career. Many of the stories give a great insight into their very own era and the stars that rolled and rocked.

Disappointing
I really wanted to read about Annie's experiences with some of the greats of the 60s. Sadly there isn't much of this in the book.
