Works so well that we may by a second as a backup.
I have baked about 90 loaves of sourdough bread in this since we purchased it in 2021. Following their instructions the crust comes out great every time, the bread cooks evenly and the oblong shape of the loaf is great for sandwiches. I am thinking about buying a second one in case something happens to the current one. They seemed a little expensive when I purchased the first one and in three years the price has increased by $20. They recommended oiling the inside and flouring the surface before using but that was hard to clean so now we dust the loaves and bottom of the dish with semolina. The bread doesn't stick and it is a snap to clean. The unit is ceramic and I worry about breaking it on our quartz counters but I would replace it in a heartbeat.

Best vessel for sourdough bread baking!
I had been using dutch ovens to bake my sourdough but a neighbor who I baked for, offered me his since he could bake well. As it turns out, with this I can bake 2 pound loaves and still have some room. I no longer need to take off the lid after partial baking to brown the loaf. I just leave the dough in it for the entire bake time and when I take the lid off, it is golden and crispy outside. Best part, I won't break/Crack when moving from hot to cold or vice versa. This allows me to do a cold start, and then for.my next loaf, drop the cold dough I to the hot baker. So I ended up getting a black one to add to my red one so I can bake 2 batards at the same ti.e and when do, load the next 2. Perfect

Large!
I got this so that I could be sure my sourdough bread would rise more than in a cloche I have of the same brand. It works! The size of the loaf takes about 3/4 of what I previously used to make two loaves, so it makes a large loaf. It works well to hold steam in for half the bake. Taking the top off after that is tricky, because it is very hot, but it does what is intended. I think it could break easily, so care is necessary in handling.

STURDY piece of art used for baking
I thought it was a goner! With one hand I was holding the top piece upside-down about 12” above the bottom piece, which was on the counter. I had just unpacked it and was looking it over. The top slipped out of my hand and free fell into the bottom piece. CRASH! My heart stopped. It bounced onto the counter top. Not even a scratch in the top piece that fell. Only the tiniest piece of glaze chipped off the edge of the bottom piece. It’s a badge of honor. Well It’s broken-in now. And, I don’t have to worry about breaking if it gets slightly banged around during use. Very durable just as advertised. Great looking piece too. Third loaf getting baked this morning!

Don’t buy this
This is my second time buying this and it broke it cracked twice. I am a micro baker and I needed my pot, but they would not send it to me until I returned it back and after I did, I still had a problem getting it. It’s not worth the money if you’re gonna buy something like this by the. Le creust

Best bread form
This is the best bread form I have ever used! Bread comes out so much better with this form. I recommend this very much! The pizza stones are just as good! Love this product.

Poor quality, broke after 2 years, good bakes though
For how much this cost I expected it to last longer. I only had it 3 years and it broke. So disappointed. I gave it a two star because it did a great job with baking the loaves but quality is questionable and I would suggest cast iron for durability, quality bakes, and longevity
