Q: Will this work for northern pike?

Iam not a Northern Pike fisherman but dont see wire this wire would not work. I will say this my favorite wire to use in Tampa Bay is the AFW Nylon Coated wire. It comes in different weight from 10lb. up to 210lb. The AFW Tooth Proof is alittle to stiff for my choice. Hope this helps, have a great fishing day.

Exactly as described, great wire

Exactly as described. The wire was easy to work with yet strong enough to get in a huge 11ft bull shark I hooked up with, I fought it for quite awhile and the wire held the entire time. Very happy for that experience and I dont know what I could do to test it anymore than that. Would recommend to anyone looking to battle some serious toothy critters.

Easy to use excellent for shark fishing and other toothy fish

I have used this afw toothproof line a lot over the years and it is excellent for shark fishing. I usually 125 lb line to pull in a 220 lb bull shark the other day and it showed no signs of failure. It's nice because the Sharks don't notice the wire as much as they do a cable. Highly recommended easy to use I get the camo color.

Excellent Steel Leader

I was tire of constantly getting bit off by the toothy fish I was after. This stuff is great just learn how to properly twist this and it stays locked on. It will pay for itself in a few days by keeping those lures on the line. I can’t say enough about saving money on preventing the fish from biting off my lures. I keep this stuff in the tackle box now and land those mackerel!
